Stretching my legs from side to side as I held the bar attached on the wall, I listen to Jennie talking about a project that she was working on.
"I'm working with a boy and a girl. And this stupid bitch keeps making excuses that she can't come to our meetings to discuss the project. Then, when I asked her to send me her part, it was a copy paste of some sites. Unbelievable," She grumbled, typing on her computer aggressively.
I laugh, "You could always cut her off."
"That's what we did. That guy told her several times, but she thinks it's some joke that we're saying. Especially when I said it, like what the fuck? Wait till she sees that her name is not on the project."
We talked and I couldn't slip his name in the conversation. It was hard because her mind is already set on Taehyung should never come disturb me.
The door bell rang and the call went silent. I wondered who could it be. I take my phone and went downstairs, trying to catch a glimpse of the figure outside the window. But I couldn't see anyone.
Once I open the door, there he was Taehyung with a pizza box and a tray of ice tea. I smile, letting him in.
"Like you said—"
Pressing my hand on his mouth, he got startled, almost dropping the food.
"Who was that?" She asked, as the typing stopped.
Closing my eyes, I think about something that could make sense. "Just the pizza guy, I wanted to confirm the order because I thought there was something missing."
"But I didn't heard you talk?"
"You were probably thinking about that stupid girl," I recalled, closing the door, locking it. "Oh, I just remembered that I had a assignment to do. I'll see you Monday."
"Ya, see ya!" I cut the call, sitting on the chair beside the counter. Taehyung puts the box and the tray on the flat surface before sitting beside me.
He takes on cup of ice tea and he gives the other to me. I sip, feeling a cold shiver throughout my body. Scratching his neck, he looks at me apologetically. I shrug, waving it away.
"You can start eating, I have to practice," I smiled, pointing at my room with my thumb. "I'll join in you in a hour."
He nods in a uncertain way, "Would it be okay if I watch you?"
I blink several times before agreeing. "You can eat there too."
He smiles, closing the box of pizza. He follows behind me as we went in my room. I stood against the wall, waiting for him to sit on my bed. He sits on the edge, minding his own business.
I sigh, laughing at myself. I'm overthinking. In my plan, there was only stretching and one rehearsal of the performance. That was it. He'll understand that it won't be top notch.
Putting my ankle on the bar, I let my body fall on my leg as I look at the window. I guess I can't control my nervousness with him, even now. I can feel him staring at me, pressuring me to do well even in stretching.
Replacing my other ankle, this time time I was facing Taehyung. He smiles at me, leaning on the bed with his hand. I noticed that the pizza box was unopened, I frowned, letting my ankle on the ground.
"I'll wait for you to finish," He says, putting his ice tea of the nightstand.
He takes of his jacket, leaving him with a loose shirt and jogging pants that looked really comfy to be in. Then this idea came in my mind, I sat down on the floor and pulled him down. Skipping one practice night won't hurt.
He sits in front of me, crossing his legs. I distance both of my legs, leaving a huge gap. Taehyung's eyes widens as I let a chuckle. Putting my hands hesitantly on his shoulders, I balance myself so I could do a perfect split, not forgetting the pointy toes.
"You should try it," I genuinely suggested. He stares at me, shaking his head as he chuckled awkwardly.
"I only said that I wanted to be your spectator, not to be your student," He replied, avoiding eye contact with me.
"Just try stretching your legs, one leg at a time."
He looks at me dead in the eye, before unfolding one leg. I slightly push it until he groaned, taking my hand away.
"I should've just stayed downstairs," He said, when he unfolds the other leg to the opposite side. Both of his legs formed a 90 degree while I did 180. It always surprised me when people are not as flexible as I am. I'm so used to have seen girls and boys being able to do things like me.
I take my phone out, wanting to keep a memory of this. I tell him to look at the camera, his face wasn't smiley but it was funny. I wasn't able to take a good one because I was laughing so much. I swipe through my photos and there was one where he looked at me with a soft smile when I wasn't barely looking. Blushing, I close my phone.
That was probably one of the best photos I took of him and my favourite for now.
He gives me a slice of pizza, taking me off guard. I take it, bitting onto it. He looks at me with a smile as we both silently ate. I'm glad that he came back in my life, now I'm probably never letting him go. We know each other way too much to have another lover. I know we're both made for each other.
I just know it.
