Samuel instructed the boys to hastily gather their weapons, and we all rushed to the room where the Alpha was supposed to be contained. To our dismay, we found a gruesome scene of blood and the lifeless body of the Hunter assigned to guard the vampire. It appeared that the vampire had managed to escape, which was definitely not good news for us.
As we spread out in the room, examining the aftermath of the escape, we discovered that the large tank of Dead-man's blood had been shattered and spilt on the floor, rendering it useless.
"How much dead man's blood we got left?" Samuel inquired, his gaze shifting to Christian who held up only two syringes filled with blood. Samuel let out a deep sigh, fully aware that it wouldn't be sufficient to fully subdue the Alpha.
"How long until the Alpha's one-hundred per cent?" Dean asked, directing his gaze towards his grandfather.
"Hour, maybe less," Samuel replied. "We need to get him dosed up and back in the cage," he proposed a plan.
"No," Dean objected firmly.
"What do you mean, 'no'?" Samuel retorted with a questioning tone, stepping closer to Dean.
"I mean, I don't know what your big plan was, but playing catch is not on the table," Dean interjected, refusing to agree with his grandfather's suggestion.
"Dean—"
"We take this thing's head off," Dean interrupted his grandfather, his voice filled with anger. "We take the thing's head off, or it will kill us all! You know that," Dean's voice resonated with determination. Samuel fell silent, casting a pensive gaze towards Gwen and Christian, fully aware that if given the chance, the Alpha would massacre everyone in the room. "Ok, we split up. Clear every room," Dean took charge, asserting his leadership. "You get a shot, you take it," he instructed, emphasizing the need for swift and decisive action. "It not gonna kill him, but dude will move slower without kneecaps. And if we make it through this, you, me, and Sam are having one hell of a family meeting," Dean added, glancing back at his grandfather.
"It's going to be quite a meeting," I remarked, a smirk playing at the corner of my lips. Dean ascended the steps and headed towards the room's exit, with me closely following behind. Gwen joined our search, while Sam, Samuel, and Christian formed their own group.
Dean, Gwen, and I meticulously combed through each room of the warehouse, conducting our search with utmost care and precision. I moved cautiously, straining my senses to detect any signs of the Alpha vampire. However, due to my diminished power, my abilities were still unreliable. Despite our thorough search, there was no sign of the Alpha vampire in any of the rooms we checked. Suddenly, the sound of a gunshot echoed through the entire warehouse, alerting the three of us to close danger. We exchanged quick worried glances before dashing in the direction from which the sound originated.
We quickly followed the sound and turned the corner, only to witness the sudden appearance of demons appearing out of thin air, seizing the Alpha. One of them was Christian, his eyes as black as night. In the blink of an eye, Christian and the two demons vanished with the Alpha, leaving all of us stunned.
