Aerea Targaryen didn't know what to think as she stood upon the wall of the castle in Pentos.

Her fathers wife was gone, her half sister's mother was gone. Laena the woman who Aerea had treated as a mother was dead and what was left of her was just laying on the grass in front of the dragon which had caused the Velaryon's death.

Aerea stayed quiet as her two sisters joined her. She wasn't that close to Baela and Rhaena. But she knew how it felt losing someone close.

Aerea sighed as she turned around and was met by her father, Daemon was sitting behind his three girls watching as they grieved.

"Father" Aerea greeted him as she walked away from her younger sisters and closer to where her father sat.

"Aerea you and your sisters need to pack" Daemon spoke up looking at his eldest daughter, the daughter who looked nothing like a Targaryen. The girl held more of her mothers traits than his. But he never once regretted ridding himself and Aerea of the bronze Bitch.

"Where are we going" Aerea asked half of her actually wanting to know. Some of her was even expecting her father to say the Vale. Daemon had Some control over Runestone. As Aerea was to young to yet inherit the lands and title.

"We are going to drift mark, A raven has been sent to Your grandmother about Laena"

"Shes not my grandmother" Aerea snarls as she senses that her sisters had now joined her side.

"Aerea are you alright" Aerea heard the eldest twin speak up as Aerea nodded her head and looked at her father "We need to start packing"

That was the last thing Aerea said before making her way from her sisters and father.

Daemon kept his eyes on his eldest daughter as she walked away, Aerea was a dragon but she was more her mother than him. Even now the bronze bitch found a way to make his life hell.

Aerea stood at the ship watching the water. She would arrive at drift mark soon.

Aerea had only ever seen the vale and Pentos. She had gone to king's landing when she was young with her father for her cousin's wedding. But for most of it she was kept away, she could hardly remember most of it as she was only three years of age back then.

"Sister, are you okay?" She heard her youngest sister's voice as Aerea turned her head to the right of her to see Rhaena with a small smile on her face. Even though they weren't close they were there for each other.

"I should be asking you that" Aerea mumbled as she looked back out at the sea. Baela was with a moon dancer, their father trusted her enough to ride the young dragon. But unlike Baela, Aerea and Rhaena didn't have dragons. Rhaena's egg didn't hatch and Aerea had never gotten a chance to have an egg or claim a dragon.

"Laena was your mother" Aerea adds.

"You were like a daughter to her as well, but I also know that you lost your mother years ago. I could never imagine going through this twice"

"My mother died before I got a real chance to know her. When she died father was in the vale, when he found out he came straight to me. I don't remember much of my mother" Aerea admits "But I do know she hated my father and some part of me blames him for her death"

"How did she die"

"Father says she had a bad fall" Aerea mumbles knowing that was not the truth, she knew that however her mother died her father had a part in it. There were some in Pentos who would talk and sometimes Aerea would listen. Especially when it came to her mother.

"I'm sorry for asking." Rhaena whispers, taking Aereas hand in hers. "You have Baela and I. And I have you and Baela"

Aerea nodded her head as Rhaena dropped her hand.

"Have you ever been to Driftmark"

"No, although I have been to King's landing. Although i young" Aerea states as she turns her head and sends Rhaena a soft smile "When I inherit Runestone you and Baela will always be welcomed"

"Do you think we will ever get dragons of our own" Rhaena changes the conversation "My egg has yet to hatch and you"

"I have never had a chance to claim a dragon. Father was at war when I was born. I do not look like a Targaryen either, but our father assured me that if I were not his daughter caraxes would have burnt me alive"

"Well that's nice of him to say" Rhaena mutters a little upset that their father had even said anything like that to Aerea "We should get ready, the ship will dock soon and there will be people watching"

"The rest of our family"

************************************

Aerea followed behind her sisters as they walked inside the driftmark gates. They had arrived a few hours earlier. The rest of Aereas family had yet to arrive.

Aerea stopped as her father did as they were greeted by Rhaenys Targaryen. Aerea watched as the older woman sent a glare at her father. But that didn't last long as Rhaenys looked at her two granddaughters.

"Girls" Rhaenys spoke up as She wrapped the twins in a hug. Aerea remained by her father, she knew she shared blood with Rhaenys but that was only through her father. And even then she didn't care that her sisters had their grandmother.

Rhaenys let her granddaughters go as Rhaena and Baela held each others hands and began making their way into driftmark.

"Your brother shall be here soon as will your nice" Rhaenys tried to remain calm as she spoke to her cousin. She blamed Daemon for her daughter's death. There was no denying that. Everyone knew what he did to his late wife, it was no surprise that he left Laena to die.

Daemon nodded his head "Aerea go join your sisters"

Aerea didn't say anything but listened to her father and made her way past Rhaenys and hurried along to catch up with her younger sisters.

"Those girls have lost their mother and your acting as she never existed" Rhaenys spoke up "You left Laena to die"

"I loved Laena, but she made her choice" Daemon replied "I never left her to die. I would never leave those i love to die"

"Is that why you took the girl from her home after murdering her mother?" Rhaenys snapped.

"Aerea is none of your concern cousin"

"My daughter raised and loved that girl for ten years. I wonder if she ever wondered why you would go to all those lengths for a daughter you abandoned"

"Like you said cousin, she is my daughter and that Bronze bitch was trying to keep her from me" Daemon hissed "I wanted my daughter and out of that marriage you could say i killed two birds with one stone"

Daemon smirked at his own words as he walked past Rhaenys.
