Aerea paced back and forward. She didn't know what to do. As of right now she was waiting for a maester to tell her she had just missed her bleeding by a few days.

She truly hoped that was true, she had only been wed to Aegon for three months. She knew that Rhaenyra and her father had welcomed another child a few weeks before a boy Viserys and her cousin Helaena was almost halfway done with her second pregnancy. Helaena was to welcome a third child, Aerea on the other hand didn't want that. She didn't want to be baring children her whole life. In the future she would want an heir for runestone. One child no more. Aerea was her mothers only child and that was enough for her.

She sighed as her chamber doors opened and there the maester was.

Aegon walked into his shared chambers to find his wife sitting at the end of their bed with an upset look.

"Aerea" Aegon spoke up, making his presence heard. Aereas head snapped up at him "You were not at dinner"

"And was my uncle at dinner" Aerea asked back knowing Aegon would change the subject if she were to bring Viserys up "Well"

"My father is unwell you know he keeps to himself, now what is wrong"

Aerea took a deep breath as she looked at him "My father is going to kill me" she joked lightly not realising Aegon was taking everything she said seriously.

"Why are you calling that prick you father again and if he lay a h-"

Aerea cut him off before he could say anything else "I'm with child Aegon, three weeks to be said"

"You are, your having our child" Aegon asked as she nodded "Why are you so sad about this, this news is amazing Aerea"

"You may think that. But I do not"

"Aerea you always said you'd need an heir one day how are you not happy about this"

Aerea stood up and began pacing as she had done a few hours before "Because i do not want to be a mother. I do not want that burden. The burden that caused my mothers death"

Aerea sighed "If my mother never had me, he would have not killed her. But she died because my father wanted to raise me and perhaps it was true that there marriage was a burden but my mother having me was a bigger burden to her"

"Aerea you were no burden and our child will not be a burden either"

Aerea stopped her pacing as she stood still "Then why did Laena end up dead, why did my mother end up dead and why did Aemma Arryn end up dead"

"You're scared of dying in childbirth" Aegon caught on, this wasn't about her not wanting to be a mother. She was scared of ending up like her mother or even others. Aegon waited for her to say something but she remained quite "Aerea i swear you are not going to die, not as a mother"

She nodded slightly as Aegon slowly approached her and pulled her into a tight embrace.

"I love you Aerea and our future child"

A week had passed, Aerea and Aegon had decided to tell Alicent the news, Aerea was now a moon with child and she would start showing in a month or two. So Aegon thought it would be better to tell his mother while Aerea sent a raven to Rhaena.

"Mother" Aegon greeted the green queen as she was seated at a table in her room having tea. Aegon eyes went to Larys Strong, he rolled then as he turned back to his mother.

"Lord Strong I think you should go my son and I" Alicent muttered as Aegon cut her off.

"No need your frie-" Aegon paused not actually knowing what Larys was to his mother and why they were always together "Aerea and I are expecting"

"You are" Alicent grinned as she got up "Aegon this is good news, it is truly good"

"Indeed it is Aerea wanted to go to dragonstone to tell her sister about it, I stopped her" Aegon states "instead Aerea is to send a raven to Rhaena"

"Give your wife my congratulations, she's to welcome a child and inherit runestone in the upcoming month" Lord Larys spoke up as Alicent turned around to the man. She knew what he was capable off.

"It's Lady Royce,my lord strong" Aegon snapped as Alicent walked over to her son.

"Your grandfather will be over the moon if you are to welcome a son"

"He would?"

Alicent nodded her head "We can tell your grandfather together and lets pray Aerea has a son"

"Father, princess Rhaenyra" Rhaena greeted them as she sent Rhaenyra a small smile "I hope you have recovered Princess Rhaenyra"

"I recovered a few weeks ago, Rhaena. Is everything well or did you just wish to spend some time with us" Rhaenyra asks as she notices the girl holding a letter "Or has something happened at driftmark"

"It's not Baela who writes. It's actually Aerea" Rhaena whispered. This was the first time Aerea had written to Rhaena since the wedding which was almost four months ago. Rhaena wasn't upset with her sister, she knew Aerea didn't want her father knowing she was writing to her. So instead Aerea wrote to Baela and Baela sometimes told Rhaena what their elder sister was doing and how she was.

"Aereas sent a raven" Daemon finally spoke up "Well what does your sister write Rhaena"

Rhaena didn't want to say so she walked over to Rhaenyra and handed her the letter, Daemon watched as Rhaenyra scanned the letter. Rhaenyra then looked up and turned to her husband "She's with child"

"What did you just say" Daemon snapped walking towards Rhaenyra as his daughter took a step back away from her stepmother and father "Let me see the letter Rhaenyra"

"There's no point in reading it, Daemon. Aerea is expecting" Rhaenyra states "We should be happy for her. Even if sh-"

"She's having one of the hightowers spawns"

"No Daemon the child will be more Targaryen then Hightower, they will have more of our blood then there's"

"And what of hers. Aerea has been going around by the bronze bitches name"

"You should not be speaking about the late Rhea Royce like that" Rhaena spoke up making the two realise that she was still there "Aereas mother was your wife. You should at least show more respect to her then you did my mother"

"Rhaena"

"I should send a raven back to Aerea. I'm happy for her" Rhaena admits looking at Rhaenyra "As I was happy for you princess when you welcomed my young brother Aegon. Only a few months after my mothers death"

Rhaena smiled slightly as she made her way out.
