Just to clarify for everyone the first two chapters of this story is set around four years before The Force Awakens, meaning Rey's around the age of sixteen and Kylo/Ben is around twenty six.

The mighty Supreme leader had sent his apprentice on a mission to Jakku. Kylo Ren, along with a group of stormtroopers traveled through space on one of the many mission shuttles the First Order owned. Everything was going smoothly, until it wasn't anymore.

Alarms blared and the pilots dash flashed. Extreme shaking and shuddering caused all the occupants inside the shuttle to lose their balance being slammed into walls from every direction. The ship was crashing, everyone knew it. Kylo remembered seeing a tan layer from the plant below before he blacked out on impact.

Rey was out yet again scavenging. It was mid morning and the soon to be scorching afternoon heat was just starting to move in. She hoped to get enough parts for a decent meal to hold her over till tomorrow. Since it was summertime, the temperatures were known to rise to dangerous levels, were being out side for more then ten minutes could get you killed. It was advised that everyone got there outside activities done before the afternoon.

Luckily she had got a early start this morning and was just about done collecting parts. There was one last part she had her eye set on, a large engine converter. Unfortunately it was at the top of the Stardestroyer's collapsing ceiling, making sense why no other scavenger had snatched it up yet. She began the perilous climb that left her limbs aching by the time she made it to the top.

Taking a deep breath and refusing to look down, she leaned out away from the wall, just barely managing to grab onto the dangling converter with her left hand. Using her right hand, that was holding onto a divot in the wall, she pulled herself back. Shoving the part into her bag, she made her way back down to the ground with little to no issues.

Rey rubbed her sore arms. Thats gonna hurt like hell tomorrow, she thought to herself. Grabbing her staff from where she poked it into the sand, she made her way out of the wreckage. Rey stood outside of the Stardestroyer for a moment and drank what little water remained in her canister.

A sudden screeching noise sounded from above and she whipped her head upwards. Expecting to see the Stardestroyer finally meeting it's long time due collapse. To her surprise, it was a small ship falling from the Jakku atmosphere that was causing the ear piercing sound. She watched it hurl downwards and smashed into the ground, what looked like a few dunes away.

Not thinking for a moment, she leaped into action, sliding down the sand dune. She jumped on her speeder, heading in the direction of the crash. Up and down waves of sand dunes she rode, a mysterious force encouraged her forward, pulling her, as if it was leading her right to the crash. She skidded to a stop, jumping off her speeder, when she saw a dark human form laying face down in the sand.

It was a man. His broad shoulders and form gave it away. He had silky black hair as dark as uniform he wore from neck down. He was rather large, Rey assumed he stood at around six foot.

Letting her better judgement be clouded, She kneeled down beside him and gently rolled him over onto his back. His face was busted up quite a bit, but nothing to serious. She observed his chest's rise and fall indicating he was very much alive. For whatever reason she felt a need to protect this man, to save this man. There was something special about him.

She shook his shoulders. "Hey!" She said trying to wake him.

Darkness, darkness was all he saw. Suddenly his senses started coming back to him. Taste. Salt and blood. Touch. Someone touching him, shaking his shoulders. Smell. Their sweet smell brushing up against him. Hearing. A feminine voice. His eye lids slowly drifted open. Sight. Everything was blurry, but he could make out the clear figure of a woman. Her hair was brown and she wore a tan clothes.

Loosing consciousness, Kylo's eyes fluttered closed, but he willed them to open once again.

This time his sight was a little more clear and he got a good look at her face, before his eye lids shut on him.

The last thing he remembered hearing was her soothing voice. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get back home."

After that nothing, just Darkness.

Rey didn't know how truly bad he was hurt, all she could do was hope for the best. She grabbed onto his arms and began to drag him through the sand. The strange force was calling to her, telling her the direction to fallow. After having to pull him over two sand dunes she came to the wreckage. There was several people fully dressed in white and black armor buzzing around the bashed up shuttle in a panic. Quite a few of these armored people lay dead on the ground, most discombobulated or having limbs missing.

Aware of the hight tensions, she approached slowly was a strong hold of the man she was dragging behind her. One of the armored men noticed her and instantly raised his blaster to the girl seeing their master behind her. Others fallowed in pursuit. She dropped her hold on the man and put her arms up in the air.

"I don't mean any harm. I was trying to get this man back to his transport. I'm assuming he's with you all?" She treaded lightly.

None of them moved.

"He's hurt and needs help."

The one armored person in the middle lowered his blaster and the rest fallowed.

"FN-3456, FN-5822, FN-4631, and FN-3719 with me. The rest of you find the com. If she tries anything kill her." His robotic voice sent a chill down her spine. She didn't like it. It was dehumanizing.

The five people moved towards the man, to inspect him for injuries. Rey just stood in her same place watching them, wanting to avoid being shot.

"Where did you find him?"

"Two dunes over."

"Was his state any different?"

"He came in and out of consciousness for a minute, but said nothing or did nothing other then open his eyes to close them."

"Thank you ma'am we'll take it from here. Your free to go."

Hesitantly Rey began walking away. She didn't want to leave the man, but she also was not going to stay with a bunch of strangers who could could do god knows what to her. After traversing the dunes she managed to find her speeder, heading back to Nimma to get her portions for the day.
