-What did you say the boy's name was? - Leda asked me, already ready to search on the Internet.

Leda Bardhi was the classic blonde with clear eyes and a striking physique.

She was a well-known figure among students in her high school days, the typical girl you would have imagined as the protagonist in a novel, with an innate charm that caught everyone's attention.

-Jake Lee Hale.- I replied, stretching out next to her on the bed as Nathan typed the name into the search bar, overtaking my friend in the race to find information.

Besides being my neighbour for years now, he was our best friend since middle school, the only one who tolerated Leda's endless chatter and my mood swings.

With his constantly messy red hair and a cascade of freckles on his face, he looked friendly and warm.

Her dark eyes hid under a pair of thick eyebrows, while her thin, pink lips often curved into a crooked smile.

It had already been three days since I had spoken to Mrs Black, and that day I had gone to see Nathan, who had offered to help me create my CV to be sent in by the end of the week.

Leda, of course, had shown up uninvited, but she had brought our favourite doughnuts, so we had welcomed her with open arms.

Someone entered Nathan's house, slamming the door and making him roll his eyes.

-I bet your date didn't go as you hoped.- He said as he got out of bed and leaned out of the room.

-Gareth, how did it go?- I heard him say in the hallway.

-You wouldn't believe, Nathan.- a distant voice answered.

-I'll change quickly and then I'll tell you about it.- he concluded, slamming the door behind him.

He was an eccentric and resourceful guy, I couldn't explain why he still hadn't found the right guy for him.

The blond of his hair was so light that it almost dazzled the eye, his eyes as blue as the ocean.

He was a boy of average height, but his well-defined physique made up for it in abundance.

He was also the most elegant of the four of us. I loved the rings he wore and the septum on his little straight nose.

I admit I had had a crush on him in the past, before his coming-out.

-Every week it's the same story.- Nathan sighed, closing the door behind him as our friend barked from the next room.

-Who did he go out with this time? -Leda wanted to know.

-A guy she met on a dating app, from what she told me.

-I hope she finds a normal one sooner or later. -I started rolling over in bed.

-Do you remember the guy with the stamp mania? I think he cared more about them than himself.- Nathan chuckled.

-And the tattoo artist?
-Who?

-The one who wanted to have Gareth's face tattooed on his back, Leda.- I reminded her and after a moment's thought she burst out laughing.

-I heard a familiar laugh.- Nathan's roommate burst into the room.

-He took me to a fast food restaurant on a first date!- He told us indignantly.

-You are too demanding Gareth, you have to learn to enjoy the moment and the guy you are dating, not the place he takes you.- I commented, trying to analyse the situation.
