"This is madness," muttered Leon. I gave him a look.

"Aren't you the one who said this kind of world exists? If anything, I should be the one saying that."

He gave me a look. "I was talking about this possibility. I always knew about the existence of another universe but I...I never thought—"

"That you'd be able to see it with your own eyes," continued Roylan.

Leon looked at him and nodded. "See, your guard gets it. Thank you, Roylan."

Roylan narrowed his eyes at Leon and then scoffed.

I looked around us. The darkness of our surroundings did not help the anxiety creeping into me.

There are two Evelyns. One is the one in my world, the spy from the Solaris kingdom, and the other is the Evelyn that I knew. The one who worked as my servant. It was mindblowing. Who would even be calm after such a revelation?

Thinking about it, it all made sense now. She...I've always noticed she was different. She spoke differently. She moved differently. She was entirely someone from another universe. It was, indeed, madness.

It explained how Evelyn was able to speak the Solarian language. Her world spoke Roatian and Frotian. It explained how she sometimes speaks something totally foreign to me.

I rested my head on the back of a wall. The alley provided us some temporary shelter against the people's strange stares. I would understand them. Our clothing's not exactly fit to be on the streets.

"What are we going to do, Your Majesty?" asked Roylan.

"For one, you can stop calling him 'Your Majesty'. We've already gotten enough strange looks tonight," Leon said and he was right.

Roy was tight-lipped as he looked at me. I know every nerve endings of his body refuses to follow what Leon said but that is one of the first things we need to do.

"We need to blend in while we figure out how to find Evelyn," I said and looked at Leon. Blending in seems the sanest thing we do first. Mercifully, none of them were against the idea.

"Where do you reckon we can find her? What did that old woman say?" I added.

Leon gave me a defeated look. "Well...she did not exactly tell me where Evelyn is."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Did you bring us here without any concrete plans?"

Even Roylan looked like he was about to pull out his sword and demand the answers out of my brother.

Leon gave me an offended look. "I wasn't the one who brought us here! It was the old woman!"

"What about the kingdom?"

"The kingdom can function even with the absence of its king. And besides, we're not going to be staying here for long. We will find Evelyn and take her back to our world and that's it."

I had time to ponder over what the old woman said to us. Evelyn is the one who can help us. Though she didn't tell u how exactly Evelyn could help but we are desperate. War is looming and if we don't do something, Solaris might as well colonize Visaris and Nolaris. I need to find out how Evelyn could be a part of this.

When Leon said that Evelyn's world has more advanced technology, I believed him now. Looking at the gigantic structures and the moving machines for a carriage, it was, no doubt, something my world doesn't have.

"How exactly are we going to use the technology in this world into the coming war, brother?"

Leon sighed and rested his head on the wall too. "I will need to ask Evelyn about that. But first, I think we need to think of something to blend in."
