forgiveness- chapter 13

Timeline: 1 and a half month after Jake lost his memories.
Jake's pov

What the hell? I can't believe he actually said that. He pities me? That's why he's my friend? What the hell? I hate him!I hate all of them! Why should they pity me? What did I do?

The thoughts engulfed me as I walked out of the toilet from finally being able to calm down from all the crying that I did. I wasn't looking where I was going and bumped into someone.

"Woah I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was-" I apologized as I faced the girl all of a sudden, knowing her familiar face.

"Jake? " Hailey faced me.
Her voice was the most sweetest I ever heard. Oh my god. How the heck did I even break her heart? She like a literal angel. How could I done that?

"Are you okay you look like you've been crying? " her words brought me back to reality.

"I-uhm-well uhm- I'm okay. " I stuttered, trying to keep my cool.

"HEY! What are doing with my sister? " the boy Sean told me was Zander came along. He stared at me.

"It was an accident, Zander, chill he just bumped into me" Hailey defended me unexpectedly.

"Well-"
"ZANDER-cant you see he's upset? "
Hailey whisper-screamed at Zander as she went back to addressing me.

"I feel like there is something you want to ask me? " she turned back to me trying to hold my gaze.

"Uhm-yeah. Well- Sean mentioned that I broke you heart. How did I break your heart? " I remained calm the best I could as the question gnawing at me was answered.

"HOW? EXCUSE ME HOW? " Zander interrupted. He flared flames at me.

"I well- i-" I started to stutter through the scary glances Zander was giving.

"Zander! " Hailey faced him as he immediately shut up seeing how angry his sister was.

She sighed heavily, turning back towards me.

"What do you mean by how? You should know what you did? You get bullied of it every single day? " she answered giving questions along the way.

"Did Sean not tell you about my accident? I thought everyone knew about that? " I asked her, questioning Sean's interaction with them since I see them hangout once in a while.

Both Zander and Hailey shook their head, indicating that they don't know.
I raised an eybrow at them. So apparently they don't know.

"What accident? " Hailey asked.

"A month and a half ago, I got into an accident. Sean told me it was a car accident. I'm not really sure whether it's true or not but because of it I lost my memories and do not remember anything, not my family or friends. "
I said.

A strange laughter was heard beside me. I faced Hailey and Zander as Zander crackled away.

"Haha. Do you really think we would belive that? Hahahahaa. You make up stories so weirdly jake". Zander muttered after laughter after laughter.

Hailey and I faced Zander. Does he really think this is a joke? Why is he laughing?

" I think I know why now. You guys laughed at me. What that was what it was like back then? " I said to them, nearly shouting.

Hailey sighed. She pulled me into the club room, leaving Zander outside to calm down his laughter.

"Ok I don't quite believe you when you said you lost your memories. So I'm gonna ask you a few questions about the past. Ok? " Hailey said after looking the door towards the music room.

I nodded my head as she proceeded to ask questions.
"When did we met? "
"Uhm- in middle school? "
"We weren't the same middle school, jake" 😒
"Oh-i thot "
"Never mind"
"When you came in the club, what role were you? "
"I CAME in the club? "
"Do you really not remember anything? "
"I didn't even know I was in a club! "
I said.

She looked at me from head to toe.

"There's only one more question that can really convince me. When we were in my house, I asked you to open up to me. What were you opening up to me about? " Hailey frowned and faced me.

"Uhm.that I like you? "
"What? No! "
She said eviantly. A light tint of blush appeared on her cheeks. She soon realised what I said.

"You like me? " she asked.
I faced the ground. Nodding slowly as a light tint of pink appeared on my cheeks. Slowly I looked up at her.

Her eyes widened. She seems like she was in disbelief.

"You really don't remember anything. " she said trying to ignore the fact that I like her.

"Ya so you you tell me how I broke your heart? " I asked again.

After a few minutes of silence came, she spoke.

"No.im not telling you anything. I forgive you. " she said unexpectedly as she walked away. She left the music room and I was left speechless.

What the hell just happened? Did she just give me a second chance?

Author's note: hehe end of chapter. Well thank you for reading this chapter. Chaos happened. Hailey forgave jake. Although that was like the third chance she gave him. He doesn't remember anything which was the reason why he thought it was a second chance. 👍🏾anyway. Who's ready for tmr? I most certainly am! Eeeeek can't believe it's finally coming out! Woohooool!
