A fun little scenario [Y/n is outside with his Shinai training his swinging techniques, sometimes on a makeshift dummy he made out of wood, rope, and pillows. King is also outside with him just relaxing and enjoying his company. Y/n is swinging his shinai and King is laying down in the path of the swing's breeze to cool off. Y/n sometimes switches his Shinai to something heavier like his sword when King is not that near. King likes to watch Y/n as he continues doing his exercise routine consisting of calisthenics, weights, and cardio. Y/n enjoys King's presence and they form a brotherly bond like Zoro and Chopper from One Piece. Sometimes while training/exercising, He would listen to King's teachings about demons since there is a chance he might encounter some and it's good to have some knowledge of the isles. Luz decides to drop by and hang out with them, practicing her light spell.]
Luz: Hey Y/n! Training again?
Y/n: Yup! I've gotten the flow of my swings down, just gotta add a little more power to it.
[Luz and King watch from a slight distance as Y/n practices his strikes on a makeshift dummy. There are strikes to the head (MEN), the wrist (KOTE), the body (DO), and a thrust to the throat (TSUKI). He would also do some freestyle slashes that would flow smoothly from one move to another.]
Luz: You've gotten better since the last time I saw you do Kendo. I remember coming to your tournaments and would see you be 3rd or 2nd, but I feel as if you've improved.
Y/n: Hey, practice makes perfect. Also, you've gotten the hang of that light spell.
Luz: Yeah, it seems like we both grew since we got here in the Boiling Isles. [Draws the light spell on a notepad.]
Y/n: Hehe, our snowball is growing.
Luz: Haha, yeah alright. These philosophy quotes really apply to this huh.
Y/n: Yeah well, it helps. [Y/n continues his swings.] Phew... Come to think of it, magic seems way more useful in this world. I just hope I can keep up.
Luz: I'm sure you'll figure it out. Afterall, [Waves her pen around.] you fought the mighty Warden Wrath! Fended off abominations! And pulled me out of that creepy wizard's trap!
Y/n: [He chuckles.] Alright already, we get it. [He looks at the his sword.] But those abominations just kept regenerating. If only my sword could deal more... damage...
[He then suddenly he gets an idea.]
Y/n: Hey Luz.
Luz: Yeah?
Y/n: Can you pass me a light spell? I have an idea.
Luz: Sure thing! But what for?
Y/n: Wait... lemme just... [He sticks the paper, that has the light spell, on his sword. He taps it and the blade glows.]

Y/n: IT WORKED! HOLY COW!
[Luz is stunned by the discovery. She gets excited as Y/n starts using a "light sword". After a couple of slashes, the spell wears out. It seems like there is a certain duration but judging by the state of the dummy, it seems to be very effective.]
Y/n: THIS IS SICK!
Luz: I KNOW! [Squeals gleefully.]
Y/n: Time to practice more!
Luz: PRACTICE!!!
Y/n: WOOOO!!!
[Luz and Y/n continue playing around with the light spell as Eda watches them from the door, smiling proudly.]
