As I continued my journey towards the mission location, guided by my crow, I bid farewell to Rengoku with a kiss on the lips. With my mask securely in place, I dressed in my outfit and slung my weapon onto my back before setting off. The crow had informed me that I would be joining three other individuals for this mission, and I anticipated a challenging battle ahead.
Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, I encountered the three individuals I was to accompany. Their loud voices caught my attention, and I reprimanded them, urging them to quiet down. They gazed at me with curiosity, taking note of my weapon and my rank as the Moon Hashira. Asserting my authority, I skillfully wielded my weapon, commanding their attention. Confirming that they were indeed the teammates assigned to this mission, I instructed them to follow me as we ascended the mountain.
One of them, a boy with reddish hair, inquired about the weight of my weapon. I assured him that it was not a burden, explaining my rigorous training routine that left no room for rest. When another member of the group, wearing a boar mask, expressed interest in holding my weapon, I denied his request, emphasizing the importance of focus and readiness.
As we made our way up the mountain, the yellow-haired boy grew increasingly anxious. We stumbled upon a wounded demon slayer, and as I attempted to assist him, he suddenly flew away, claiming that something was attached to him. A sense of foreboding washed over me, indicating the presence of a demon. With caution, I advised my companions to stay close behind me, wary of potential traps or danger. The yellow-haired boy's impulsive nature had to be reined in to prevent any unnecessary casualties.
Aware that this mission involved a lower-ranking demon, I recalled the familiar feeling from my encounters with my father's subordinate demons. I hoped that I would not have to face one of my father's creations and confront the emotional turmoil that would come with it.
Navigating through the terrain, we encountered an unsettling scene of deceased demon slayers and an intricate network of webs. Reinforcing the importance of patience, I warned my companions not to recklessly charge ahead. We stumbled upon a demon slayer who provided valuable information about what transpired here. It became apparent that this was indeed the work of a lower-ranking demon. Suddenly, we were ambushed by controlled demon slayers. Tanjiro, one of my companions, managed to sever the threads that controlled them, freeing them from the demon's influence.
Moving forward, I recognized a familiar voice, one that sent shivers down my spine. It was Rui, a demon with whom I had a prior encounter. I instinctively covered my mouth, attempting to conceal my reaction. Rui soon departed, unaware of my presence. Gathering my composure, I resolved to face him again in the future, vowing to end his life.
Continuing on my path, I encountered another spider demon. Opting not to remove my mask, I engaged in combat, swiftly delivering a lethal blow. With a swift motion of my blade, the demon's head was severed, and its threat eliminated.
