**Chapter Rewrite:**
**Y/n's POV:**
As consciousness dawned upon me, the room revealed itself as an empty sanctuary, my broken mask resting on a table stand. I attempted to sit up, only to discover my entire body was encased in bandages. Just then, Shinobu and Rengoku entered the room, prompting me to shield my eyes with my hands. "Y/n, look at me," Shinobu urged, but I resisted, my plea cutting through the air. "No, no, go get my mask! I need my mask!" I practically demanded. Kyojuro offered to retrieve it, leaving the room.
Shinobu's suspicion lingered in the air. "What are you hiding, Y/n?" she inquired, an accusatory edge to her tone. "Why the suspicion towards me? What have I done?" I replied defensively. She pointed out my reluctance to use my full strength, a truth I couldn't deny. My thoughts veered toward a past I seldom pondered, interrupted by Kyojuro's return with one of my masks. I concealed my eyes as I donned it, a half-smile gracing my face. "So when can I get out of here?" I asked. "Well, I'd say in a week," Shinobu responded before leaving with Kyojuro. In the solace of my masked visage, I whispered my pain, "Why would you make me become a demon slayer, Father, when all I ever wanted was to be like you and Mother?" Tears traced silent rivers down my cheeks.
**Shinobu's POV:**
Post our exit from the room, Kyojuro and I lingered, eavesdropping on Y/n's unfiltered moment. The confession struck a chord, "Why would you make me become a demon slayer, Father, when all I ever wanted was to be like you and Mother?" she softly cried. The revelation hit me hard; she never desired the path of a demon slayer. I exchanged a glance with Kyojuro, realizing the depth of her struggle. A duty forced upon her clashed with her true aspirations.
In the light of this newfound truth, I summoned the hashiras to my office, eager to unveil the mystery that shrouded Y/n's past.
**No One's POV:**
Shinobu gathered the hashiras, excluding Y/n, in her office, unveiling the revelation that had been discovered. "What is it, Shinobu? Why did you drag us here?" Senemi grumbled in annoyance. "Me and Kyojuro found something out about Y/n," Shinobu announced, and a wave of concern swept through the gathered hashiras. "Y/n never wanted to be a demon slayer," Kyojuro disclosed, eliciting surprise from his colleagues. Gyomei questioned the specifics of her statement, urging Shinobu to repeat Y/n's words. "Why would you make me become a demon slayer, Father, when all I ever wanted was to be like you and Mother?" Shinobu quoted, the enigma deepening.
**Kyojuro's POV:**
Armed with the revelation, I made my way back to Y/n's room. Entering, I found her in the throes of tears. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" I inquired, concern etched across my face. Through her mask, she looked at me, the silent tears betraying her anguish. As she spoke of a hidden secret, she apologized, claiming to be a horrible person. I embraced her, trying to understand the pain she bore, the secret that had wedged itself between us.
