I surfaced again.
Back in that 'ole bar again.
It never closes.
24 hours a day it goes. It's not VIP but I frequent there so often the owner saves a table in a blacked, dark corner for me.
Miami. Still my favorite city.I walked in at 1 in the morning.
And was ushered in.
Many strange faces fill the place.
There was actually a line outside with partygoers trying to get in.
Everywhere I looked beautiful women.I took a seat, took in the views and enjoyed the music.
My waitress served.
What does someone like me drink to get drunk?
On my word, I could drink the whole bar a 1000 times over and still walk out sober.
"Word."Everyone's enjoying themselves, having a good time.
I feel at home in environments of this kind.
Which often strikes me as weird, since I came up in a more homely kind.
But I too was having a good time.I had the perfect view of the whole bar,
back there in that dark corner of mine.
Few noticed I was there.
And only saw the puffs of cigar smoke in the air .
And sometimes my glowing eyes.
Most were absorbed in their own world.
Conversations and cheers all around.I can't begin to describe the calm I feel,
living once more in this world but this time without a lick of fear.Imagine the joy I feel as I sit and sip while masked men,
at 1 am, rush in with AK-47s to rob the place.
Haha.
I hadn't laughed in a while but that sight made me laugh.I recognized their voices.
I knew who they were.
And my Queen knew them as well.
It was she who long ago told me about them.
I couldn't help but laugh again,
knowing they had no idea what was coming.Patrons were on the floor.
All eyes to the floor.
They were pistol whipping the owner,
demanding he open the safe's door. They at first didn't see me.
Only the O's of a cigar's smoke.
Then my eyes glowed.
Red eyes.
So foolish they were,
they could not comprehend what they were seeing.
Red Eyes in the dark, its meaning.I said Hi.
But that wasn't for them.
I said the local gang was here, robbing the place again.
They demanded to know to whom I was talking. And suddenly she appeared,
dressed in white and hot rage.
I laughed again,
at the shock on their faces. It all went down faster than a human can blink.
The local gang was no more.
Touched by an angel.
Not quite the image most think. The patrons didn't know what happened.
They heard the silence and got up off the floor.
Looked around, looked into the dark and saw only glowing eyes and the O's of a cigar's smoke.I shouted at the DJ, "Music!"
They all screamed and rushed for the door.
Guess the bar won't be 24hrs no more.
