I sighed and put my phone away, knowing that he'll know I read it. I heard steady footstep walk into the room and I looked up to see my mother. She put the cardboard boxes against the wall and smiled at me. "My little baby is leaving the nest." she said tearing up.

"Awe mom." I said, "Don't do that cmon... it's nothing, I'll be a 20 minute ride away."

"I know," she said, "I know, I'll just really miss having you here." I gave her a sympathetic look then opened up my closet. "Want some help packing?" she asked. I smiled a nodded, "Yes please." I said.

*the next day*

I woke up on my bed, with the light, from the window, burning into my eyeballs. I groaned as I rubbed my eyes. Then Jaxx ran up to me and nuzzled his snout in my hair, trying to get me up. I sat up and groaned. "Jaxx cmon, I was trying to sleep." Jaxx barked then I nodded, "Alright aright baby boy, calm down." I said. Jaxx panted as I changed into a black shirt with 3 sunflowers on it, side by side. I slipped on a black lace skirt and a flower crown with white flowers. I walked downstairs to see my mother packing my boxes into a big UHAUL truck. I walked out and gave her a hug. "I'll miss you." She said.

"How about you come with me and help me unpack?" I asked.

"I can't, Cameron's coming back today, I'll swing by later this week though okay?"

"Okay." I said. "Bye mom."

"Bye." she said. I hopped into my car and drove to my new place at Four Seasons Apartments, the truck following me.

When I arrived the men inside the truck helped me unload and put it into my apartment, apartment number 310. "Thank you." I said as I gave them a $30 tip. They nodded and left. I sat on my couch and sighed, smiling wide at my new place.

I moved some furniture here and there, hung some pictures and paintings up, then unpacked a couple boxes. By the end of the day I went up to my new bedroom and laid in bed. I sighed knowing how tired I was. Then my phone rang. I answered it, before I even looked at the ID.

"Jen..." I heard Matt's voice on the other end of the line. His voice was trembling, like he was crying maybe. Or scared.. Maybe both. "We have to talk..." he said.

"You told me to forget about you." I said a bit coldly.

"And that was an awful idea of mine." he said, "Like leaving you... Please, where are you? I need to see you, as soon as possible please."

"I'm sorry, I gotta go.... I have some things to do..." I said and ended the call. I sighed and took the phone away from my ear. "I love you." I heard a whisper. I stared at the phone for a minute then ended the call. I put the phone aside then stared at the wall until I fell asleep.
