Chain sobbed into ifrit pillow, he waited for his mate to come back. Ifrit came running back in to make sure his mate is okay.
"Ifrit.. love" chain put his arms out as tears run down his face. Ifrit takes his arms in his hands, leaning in closer to him. "What's wrong, my love..." he softly says.
"Sister.. she threatened you.. and the kits" chain sobbed into ifrit chest. Ifrit held Chain closer and said, "I won't let anything happen to you, me or our kits... I promise. Just stay with me, okay?"
He kissed Chain's cheeks and pulled him closer. "She made me try to kill willow" chain sobbed louder. Ifrit paused for a moment before hugging Chain tightly and stroking his hair. "It's alright... you didn't do anything. I'll talk to her - I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."
He paused for a moment before wiping Chain's tears with a claw. "And just so you know... I don't think any less of you for it."
There young kit came running in, "papa.. why is daddy crying" Rosie asked. Ifrit turned to Rosie and kneeled down to her level, smiling and saying, "Don't worry, sweetie. Daddy is okay."
He then turned to Chain and said in a soft voice, "Maybe Rosie could stay with alpha for a while?"
He paused for a moment before continuing, "We should talk about... the situation. Are you okay with that?"
Later the two ghouls cuddled, "I love you a lot" chain whispered. "I love you too," Ifrit whispered back as he pulled Chain close, his arms and legs snaking around his partner. Ifrit kissed his cheek and whispered, "I'm here for you, my love." His tail wrapped around Chain's waist tightly.
