Weird Way To Meet Somebody

(*Three weeks after Henry's death*) 

*in the swamp*

"Talk to your Uncle Trapper and Aunt Hawkeye!" I wrote it down in a journal.

Oh hello! Sorry, I was busy coming up with funny ships for everyone at the 4077th.

Today, the new colonel and the person to replace Trapper is coming to the 4077th!

I wonder who they'll be...

I walked outside to find Radar, as he was getting in a jeep with Hawkeye.

"Where are yall going?" I asked

"We are picking up the guy that's replacing Trapper! Hop in, we're about to leave!" Radar shouted over the loud engine of the jeep.

I hopped in, and we went to the same airport that Father Mulcahy picked me up at when I first arrived.

When we arrived, there was this tall guy at the entrance. At first I couldn't see his face. He was wearing a brown suit and a brown cap, kind of like something one of the generals would wear. He then lifted his head up to look at us. He is tall, has blonde hair, and a big nose. 

His name was BJ Hunnicutt. BJ did not meet Hawkeye yet. When he was finished meeting Radar and I, he then turned to look at Hawkeye. BJ was kind of shy when he arrived, but he opened up to us quickly.

When he turned to look at Hawkeye, he introduced himself to him. He showed him his face for a minute, but he quickly put his cap back down above his eyes, and looked down.

Gee, I wonder what's going on! Maybe BJ likes Hawkeye? I do not know....

*back at the 4077th*

Gee, I wonder where Radar went off to...

"Hawkeye?"

"Yeah BJ...... so uhm... uhm.... I like your blonde hair...!"

"HAWKEYE!"

"What?"

"Where's Radar?"

"Last time I saw your man, he was over by the bulletin board."

"Wait, Kate and Radar are dating?" BJ asked.

"Ok thanks Hawkeye!"

I went over to check by the bulletin board, because I wanted to see Radar- "my man" as Hawkeye calls him.

I wanted to just hang out with him for a while. I was bored and had nothing to do.

Radar... Uhm... uh.... aiii..... ay..... ee....

He had no shirt on. 

I was blushing head to toe. 

He was tanning.

"Radar, it's pretty hot out today, be careful! you may get a sunburn!" I warned him.

We talked about animals, life, how our days were going, what movie was showing tonight, all of that stuff.

*A jeep pulls in almost crashing into Radar and I.*

"He needs to watch where he's going! We could've gotten hurt!" I yelled to Radar.

An older man hopped out of the jeep. He looked like he was ready for retirement.

"Ten-hut!"

"Permission to cover up my nakedidity?" Radar sheepishly muttered.

"Radar, that's not a word!" I whispered over to him

"I am your new Colonel. My name is Sherman Potter. Please call me Colonel Potter out of respect, okay?"

"Okay Colonel Potter! I am Corporal Kate Houlihan. It's nice to meet you." I introduced myself.

"I am Corporal Radar O'Reilly!" Radar introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you too!"

I wonder what's going to happen between BJ and Hawkeye.

All I know is that's a weird way to meet somebody.

So I discovered the song "Midnight Shift" by Buddy Holly. I have played it on repeat all day. I love it because it's different from most of his songs.

Sorry for not updating Enlisted in a while. I have focused on my other fanfics, and also things have been busy for me.
