~Time skip. 1 month~

Thursday. 2:30 p.m.

I sat in chemistry, trying to ignore the glare Flash was sending me. Mr. Jones called on me to answer a simple formula. When I answered correctly, he frowned. Ever since the internship thing got out, Mr. Jones had been trying to find a reason to get me in trouble or embarrass me. When the bell rang, I grabbed my backpack, ready to leave.

"Wait!" Mr. Jones called. "I have a special announcement to make. We are going on a field trip tomorrow, so make sure to get your permission slip signed."

"Where are we going?" Flash asked.

Mr. Jones smirked at me. "We are going to..." he paused for dramatic effect, "Stark Tower!"

The whole class cheered. I groaned and buried my head in my arms. Mr. Jones dismissed us.

"What's wrong, Parker?" Flash asked. "Scared your lies will finally be exposed?"

I shook my head. I was actually worried about how my family would embarrass me. Everyone was coming in that week for something, but they didn't tell me why. Shuri and T'challa had arrived that day and the rest were coming tomorrow. I was doomed.

"What's wrong?" Ned whispered to me. "Now you can prove you aren't lying."

Flash laughed as he walked by. "Too bad I'll be gone tomorrow; I won't get to see you humiliated in front of the whole class."

I sighed. "I think Mr. Stark is going to do his best to embarrass me." Yep, I still hadn't told him about my family. I was worried he would hate me for not telling him sooner.

"Why don't you just stay home?"

I frowned. It would be even worse if they saw me there on a day I was supposed to be at home. "Can't."

"Oh. Well, good luck. I'll see you tomorrow," he said.

"Thanks," I said miserably. "I'll see you tomorrow."

I grabbed my stuff and headed to the warm car. When I got inside, Happy immediately picked up on my mood. "What's wrong?"

"I have a field trip tomorrow," I grumbled.

"So? You love field trips."

"I'm taking a tour of Stark Tower."

He laughed. "You're going on a school field trip to your own home?"

I nodded. "Yeah."

"That sucks. What else did you do today?"

I smiled and launched into a detailed description of my whole day.

~Time skip to dinner.~

"So, Peter. I heard you have a field trip tomorrow," Natasha said. She held up my permission slip. "To Stark Tower."

Everyone burst into laughter, and I grabbed my slip. "Traitor," I hissed, glaring at Natasha with a glare to rival Fury's. She taught me that glare.

Dad smirked and grabbed the slip. He signed it, making the signature sloppy enough that it was unrecognizable. "There. Now you can go," he said, handing it to me.

"Wow, thanks," I said sarcastically.

He just smirked at me. "No problem."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm going to my room to wallow in misery now. Goodbye." I walked off.

MJ texted me.
