I was plastered, I've had an uncountable amount of shots while sipping on what felt like bottomless puppers. Katy had dragged me to the dance floor, where we swayed and played hard to get. I was having so much fun I couldn't remember the last time i've laughed so hard.
Of course some guy came up and asked Katy for a dance, and she accepted leaving me alone in the dance floor. I was getting embarrassed dancing alone so I went to turn to the bar and go back to the guys but Wayne stood there with a small smile.
"Can I have this dance." He asks holding a hand out, I grabbed his hand and he Immediately spun me around, pulling me close and leading me in the dance, i couldn't help but laugh out loud, never had anyone danced like this with me. I was having the time of my life by the time the song ended and Wayne was leading me back to our sit at the bar.
"Yous two dance beautifullys" Dan says as i sit at the bar.
"Thank you Dan." I smiled sipping on the Puppers Gail placed in front of me. Katy wandered back with the guy saying something about heading out and left.
After another hour of drinks and conversation, Bonnie drove the boys back to Wayne's house, helping them inside before coming back out and driving me home.
"Thank you Bonnie McMurray!" I smiled as she set me on the couch, I immediately passed out.
It was the blinding sun, and screaming headache that woke me up the next morning, still on my couch and in my clothes from yesterday I felt like i needed a shower so bad so i got up and got ready for the day. After i finished frying up some left over chicken and eggs, and setting the table there was a knock at my door. Opening it to see Wayne I smiled.
"How are ya now?" i asked
"Good 'n you?" He retorted
"could be better." I reply opening the door more, greeting him to enter.
"You hungry there's some food on the table i can fry some more up for myself." Wayne just nodded and took a seat in front of the plate and orange juice, but he never took a single bite, not until i was sat down with him with my own breakfast.
"I just wanted to make sure you got home alright." Wayne says going to clear our plates now that we'd finished.
"Yes Bonnie McMurray is a very sweet girl." I answer, he again just nods, probably unsure how to continue our conversation.
"So uh... There's this thing at Modeans tonight, free puppers, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go together." He asks me, shifting on his feet a bit, I'd never seen Wayne nervous, i didn't think anything could make him nervous, let alone a small little woman like me.
"Yeah, I'd like that." I say, unable to stop the smile that spread across my cheeks. I walked Wayne out after we talked a bit longer, then i ran upstairs and started getting myself together, even if this wasn't a date, i'd never been asked to an event, i'd never been asked by a guy to go out somewhere. My stomach was doing back flips, I couldn't stop smiling i felt like i was floating.
After getting some things done around the house and stopping in to see the guys hard at work on the new storage barn, it was finally time to get ready. Getting out of the hot shower I tried planning out an outfit while i dried my hair, nothing i could think of seemed right so I went out to my closet, basic pulling every thing I own. Maybe if i had something to base my outfit off of, I did my makeup and hair, then went back to my clothes, trying to find anything to wear, now that I had less than 10 minutes before Wayne said he'd be here. I ended up choosing a pair of basic shorts, but a top I actually felt really good in. Just as i was about to put my shoes on there was a knock at my door. I greeted Wayne when i opened the door, letting him in so i could finish putting my shoes on. He opened the truck door for me like a gentleman and helped me hop up, then drove us over to Modeans
