Five's POV
Z led me to the kitchen, and I sat down in a chair. I took off my blazer and my sweater vest and set them down. She walked away and then came back with some medical supplies. She walked over to me and sat down in a chair.
"Let go of the scarf!"
I pulled the scarf away from my neck and I felt it stick. I pulled it farther away and set it on the table.
"I told you so," Z mocked, beginning to work on the cuts.
"You sound like Reggie," I whispered, wincing.
Z grabbed some alcohol and put it on a cotton ball. She then pressed the cotton ball onto the cuts, stinging the hell out of them. I tried not to yell in pain, but I was able to whimper.
"Don't tell me that I sound like Reggie," she scolded.
I rolled my eyes, and shot back, "Whatever,"
"I'm serious," she snapped, pressing the alcohol-drenched cotton ball harder.
"Gee! Don't have to push that hard," I snapped, grabbing her wrist and pulling it away.
"Cleaning it out," Z shot back.
We both shut up when we heard Deigo screaming like a goat. We both stood up and peeked our heads out of the doorway. Lila was cauterizing the wound, and Deigo's eyes were wide. He was laying on the couch, his head hanging off the edge.
"Don't move. This thing is very finicky," Lila instructed, as she dabbed his wound.
"What happened?"
"I saved your stupid life," Lila muttered.
Z walked into the kitchen and poured herself a cup of coffee. Deigo yelled again, and I walked over to Z. She had a cup in her hand, and I was reaching for it when she jerked it away.
"You can get your own," she joked, sitting down.
"Seriously?" I asked, pouring myself a cup.
"Yeah. Now about Pogo," Z began.
"I know. He's young...er than before, but he's still Pogo," I cut off her.
Elliott was snoring, and I looked at Z. She shrugged and drank her coffee.
"So, if he's alive then Reggie's alive meaning he is here in Dallas. Meaning he is here to hurt the president like the footage," I added on.
"Yeah, so we find Pogo, we find Reggie," Z muttered.
"We have to find the rest of the family. I did see Luther," I added, forgetting that I forgot to mention my encounter with Luther to Z.
"What?" Z asked, almost choking on her coffee.
"Yeah, he's gonna be no use. He doesn't want to save the world,"
"Why?"
"Because that gorilla DNA got to his brain,"
Z agreed and was about to say something when she was cut off by Elliott jerking at the chair. We both looked at him, and I looked at Z. She stood up and untied him. He backed up very slowly and disappeared.
"What a weird guy," Z uttered.
I rolled my eyes and blinked away. I saw Elliott and looked at him unimpressed.
"You got an atmospheric radar?" I asked.
Elliott nodded and walked off. He came back with a large box and sat it down. He began working on setting it up.
