A Change of Heart (Monty x Reader)

Chapter 2: Distrust

Your POV:

As you looked for the four main members of the band, a notification popped up on your fazwatch, letting you know that they had just got on their half-hour break, and that now would be a great time to meet them.

You made your way over to rockstar-row, where you could see them all sitting on the benches in-front of their green rooms.

Since they were on break, the entire area was quiet and empty, so your footsteps could be heard from quite the distance.

Freddy noticed you first, and decided to approach you. "Excuse me, you aren't allowed in this area, as we're on our break. If you have a VIP or a photo pass, you may come back later." He instructed.

You looked up at him with a bit of a nervous expression. "Oh.. well.. I kind of just got hired..?" You look at him, showing him the staff-issued fazwatch. "I got hired for the mechanic/security guard position, so I'll be working every day, except for Sundays." You said with a smile.

All four of them stared at you, and none of them really said anything, making you even more nervous.

Eventually, you just decided you'd start up a conversation. "Well I'll just introduce myself and I guess I'll be on my way. My name is Y/n, I'm 18, and I'm a senior in high-school. This is actually my first job, so I'm pretty excited.. but also pretty nervous." You explained, and they all just stared at you.

You didn't know why they looked uncomfortable around you, but Monty and Roxy especially did not looked pleased with your presence.

"Is that all?" Freddy asked plainly, and I nodded.

"Well uhm-.." You started to say something else, but we're quickly cut off.

"If that's all, then leave. You've introduced yourself and now we know who you are." Monty snarled a bit, looking at you.

You seemed taken aback by that, but nodded. "Alright, just.. don't be afraid to message me if you're in need of repairs. General repair checkups are at 9pm." You said awkwardly, and started to walk off.

They all watched you walk off, and they all looked at each-other.

Animatronics POV:

"Do you guys think we were maybe a bit too harsh with him? I mean.. he did seem genuine.." Chica explained, and Roxy shook her head.

"Vanessa seemed genuine and amazing, but in reality she was a two-faced backstabber." To which Monty nodded in agreement.

Deep-down, Monty felt as though he might have been a bit much, but he couldn't know your intentions, and it was best to just keep him and his friends guarded from you.

Your POV:

As everyone finally exited the building, the metal that shut people either inside or outside of the pizzaplex came down, also known as the "security lock".

You sighed, looking at your Fazwatch. "8pm." You said to yourself, looking at the now empty lobby, even your manager was gone.

With another sigh, you just decided to wonder around the Pizzaplex, having nothing else to do. You couldn't understand why the animatronics acted so rudely towards you, but you decided to not question it. If they wanted their space, then you would respect that.

Suddenly, you could feel your fazwatch buzz. , it was a text from Chica. "Can you meet me down at the food court? There's some things I think would be good if we.. discussed."

You quickly replied, and headed on down to the food court. You had never even been to that part of the area.

As you stepped out of the elevator and into the food court, you couldn't help but notice how huge it was. The first floor was the food court, and then the two floors above it consisted of mainly attractions.
