Arle & Ecolo's Bizarre Adventure

Arriving at Gaia

"So where are we now?" Arle asked as she, Carbuncle and Ecolo stepped through the portal.

"As I said, random world~" Ecolo replied.

"We really do need to find this Seraphim Orb soon," Arle said, still emotional about the reminiscing she'd just had.

"Don't worry," Ecolo reassured her. "We have all the time in the world... literally."

"I know, I know..." Arle said. "I just... I really want to save my world."

Arle and Ecolo's were mostly focused on their conversation, so they didn't notice when a boulder suddenly began rolling towards them. They did notice when Carbuncle used his laser to smash it to pieces.

"Thanks, Carby," Arle said. "Wait... who threw a boulder at us in the first place?"Arle looked forward and saw that in front of them was a town, and it was an old man in robes who was attacking. The townspeople, including a woman and a little boy, were cowering in fear as he, for some reason, sent boulders to destroy the houses with his magic.

"Hmmm... something's off about that guy..." Arle thought to herself. "He might be..."

"Another boulder~" Ecolo announced, breaking Arle's train of thought. Before it turned Arle and Carbuncle into a pancake, Ecolo went inside it, and it suddenly lost all its momentum and stopped.

"You should start paying attention~" the boulder said.

"You... you..." Arle said, eyes and mouth wide open. "You... you possessed a boulder?"

"Of course!" the possessed boulder said. "Now destroy it!"

Arle used an Ice Storm and shattered the boulder, as Ecolo leapt out of it. But... how would one possess a boulder...

"Ecolo... can we talk ab-"

"Do you actually wanna be crushed by a boulder?" Ecolo asked her.

"N-No..." Arle said. "Let's fight him."

The old man, unaware Arle had survived two of his boulders, seemed a lot more concerned with attacking the empty houses, leaving his back wide open. Arle and Ecolo attacked with a Puyo charged Braindumbed and Lovely Trick.

"You..." the old man said, but before he could do anything else, everyone heard someone scream "MEGA RAVE!" as the old man was blasted with electricity.

"Wait, that voice..." Arle said as the old man recovered from the shock.

"Gh..." he said, before teleporting away.

Arle looked behind them and saw someone standing. "RAGNUS?"

"Arle!" Ragnus said, pleased to see her. "It's been far too long!"

"Satan told me he gave you an amulet that let you travel between dimensions, and you never came!" Arle told him. "What gives?"

"I did try to come a couple months ago, but it was honestly slightly painful to be there. It wasn't like that before," Ragnus told her, pointing to Ecolo. "Your new friend looks like it'd fit right in there."

"Long story," Arle said.

"What were you doing standing there anyway?" Ragnus asked. "A real hero wouldn't let their guard down so easily."

"Sorry for coming to this world and not anticipating an old man throwing boulders at us," Arle said sarcastically. "And who is he?"

"He was the person who wished me good luck against Yoggus," Ragnus said, "but recently, he started acting differentl-"
