"Family?" Murder drones X male reader

Chapter 5

We were all back at home and I explained to Uzi how long she was grounded for it being a month. We all sat around the couch talking things over and I was surprised at how much N had changed from the last time I heard him talk all those years ago, Nori found him funny and saw why Uzi liked him so much. Doll wasn't as thrilled about there being a murder drone in here but didn't say any harsh words to him. Once Nori began cooking N and Uzi continued to sit around while Doll went to her room Nori having given her the spare, I decided to go spend some time with her and got up to follow her. I knocked on her door frame and looked at her given she left the door open "Yes dad?" She asked sitting up "I just wanted to spend sometime with you" I say walking and sitting down next to her "Oh okay, why is he here? Don't you hate him?" She asked "Yes I don't have the most pleasant thoughts for him, but Nori wanted me to try and smooth things over given Uzi seems to like him and has now gone against my wishes several times" I say "Ah, I see. Question for you?" She asked "yeah what is it?" I asked "With school being out for the week, could I have Lizzy and Rebecca over tonight?" She asked "I'll have to talk to Nori about it, but I don't see why you couldn't" I say. She gave me a hug "Thanks dad!" She says "Look Doll, if you ever want to talk about anything that's bothering you or need anything. Don't hesitate to ask, I'm always here for you" I say "Okay" she says letting me go "I'll go talk to Nori about your sleepover thing" I say getting up "Okay!" She says as I left the room. I went to the kitchen and saw Nori making a salad of sorts "Hey dear" I say walking over and helping her with some of the cooking "How did things go with N after I left?" She asked "Mmm not much was said, he and Uzi continued to chat and I went to talk to Doll" I say dicing some stuff "What did you two chat about?" She asked "Oh nothing much, mostly why N was here and if she could have Lizzy and Rebecca over for a sleepover tonight" I explain "And?" She asked "Well I wanted to ask your opinion, I don't see why she couldn't" I say "Nor do I, it might help her relax a little" she says "Yeah, I don't understand how she can be so relaxed the day after it all happened" I say "She's always been a bit odd, it's her weird charm" she says "Yeah, she's also very quick to accept us as her parents" I say "Well this was her second home, she was here almost every other day before" she says "I suppose your right, and those five years we spent together when she was little at school probably helped her bond with me a bit more then we should have" I say "No doubt" she says. We continued to prepare dinner and I left to go inform Doll she could have her friends over, once that was taken care of Nori and I relaxed in the kitchen till there was a knock on the door "They got here quick" she says as Uzi let them in surprised to see them here. They went straight to Dolls room and closed the door behind them, I went and opened it back up "The rules apply to you as well Doll, when guests are over the door stays open, especially with him here" I say pointing to N "He won't do anything!" Uzi says "It's more of what you'll do with him that's concerning" I say smirking "DAD!" Uzi shouts before throwing something at me, I chuckled and walked away heading back to the kitchen. We got everything thing prepared and set the table before calling everyone down for dinner. It was rather peaceful with us cracking jokes and such with N. I was surprised at how well I actually got along with him. Once it was all said and done we cleaned up and N even helped thanking us for dinner, the girls when back to the room and again I heard the door close and was about to go open it again when I heard it open back up. Once everything was cleaned up N said his goodbyes and head out but before he left he went and gave Uzi a hug since she couldn't come visit him for a month, but Nori spoke up telling him he was more then welcome to visit anytime he wanted. He thanked us again before leaving, Nori and I plopped down on our bed together and just laid there in silence before her giggles broke it "Our little girl knows how to pick them" she says "Mmm let's hope Doll can just as well" I say "You've certainly come along way in a short time" she says "Mmm I can't change the future so might as well accept it" I say. She smiled before snuggling up next to me "Your an amazing husband, and even better father" she says before kissing me. I smiled once we broke away from each other happy with the life I had and I couldn't really ask for much more.
