Chapter 8

With it being well into the afternoon now I decided to head to the underground lab and deal with Alice before I took the girls down there just incase she tried anything, "Hey I'll be back in a bit, I have to go take care of some things" I say "Oh can I come with you?" Uzi asked "No sorry princess" I say "But I wanna spend time with you!" She says "And we can when I get back, but you can't come along for this" I say getting Noris attention "And why can't she?" She asked "It's too dangerous" I say "What!? What are you going to do?" Nori asked "Alice" was all I said "Oh.... I see" she says getting slightly hesitant "Like I said she can't come along" I say "Who's Alice?" Uzi asked "Not someone I want you interacting with, your fathers right it's best you let him deal with this on his own" Nori says walking over and giving me a kiss "Be safe" she says "Scraps and his pack will make sure I'm back in one piece" I say before I left the apartment and then the colony, I flew the the entrance and hopped into the lab and was immediately met with two dead squads of disassembly drones "Hmm Alice's handy work no doubt" I say before a red blimp caught my eye, I turned to look at it and saw a camera watching me "Alice, long time no attempts to kill me. I see you've been taking care of my work for me" I say to it motioning to the dead drones. I was about to continue when I hear the chirping from the sentinels "Hey boys! It's just me!" I shout as I saw them come into view. Upon seeing me they trotted over and quickly nuzzled up to me as I scratched there heads and chins "How have you all been? It's good to see you all again!" I say before the slightly smaller one came over "Scraps!" I say as he jumped up into my arms "Hey bud! Say I need you guys to help me with something! Can ya help?" I asked setting him down, they all started chirping so I took it as a yes "Well I have two daughters now who need to be brought down here so we can get the Solver locked down like we did with Nori all those years ago, but the one behind the locked door is dangerous, wanna help me get rid of her?" I asked. They began jumping around and chirping happy to help I looked at the camera "Let's go hunting" I say.

I watched through the cameras at the sentinels and was surprised to find they didn't rip Y/n apart "Oh come on! I was looking forward to watchin em rip him apart!" I say before I heard some noice behind me from the drone strapped to the table "Oh great your awake!" I say turning around in my chair, I walked over to the new batch of drones I had picked up from the sentinels "Say how many more of your kind are there up there?" I asked the one with long white hair "Ah I ah don't know" she says "Ugh boring! Beau! You know what to do!" I say before turning to the rest of her squad trapped on other tables, Beau tipped his hat and his saw spun up before the screaming began as he started to cut her up. I went back to the cameras and watched as Y/n and the sentinels ran around the hallways "What are you up to?" I asked myself. I did see him talking to the cameras but the audio was busted so I couldn't hear a word he said.

Scraps lead the way through the halls before we landed at the locked doors "So this is where your hiding" I say checking the lock "Magnetic no prying that open, hmmm shutting the power off may work. Scraps where's the power source in here?" I asked. He cocked his head sideways for a moment before motioning with his head, "The rest of you wait here, if that light turns red or turns off get in there and flash her but keep her alive I got a plan for her" I say, the rest of the sentinels nodded and stalked the door while Scraps and I headed off in the direction he wanted to go, once we were away from the others I spoke up "So Scraps Nori has been thinking, if you want to come live with us your more then welcome to" I say making him stop in his tracks he turned and looked at me for a moment before nodding. We continued on down the hallway before we arrived at a room with a load of switches all of which had labels on them "Well this makes our job easy as hell" I say walking over and finding the ones for hallways and flicking every single one of them. With that out of the way I walked over to Scraps and scratched his head "Thanks bud! You've helped me more then you realize" I say as his head cuddled up against my side "Nori and I are serious about you coming with me, you deserve a better place to live then down here, I know the others aren't the nicest to you" I say, he rubbed his head on my side which I took as he wanted to come with me "Now let's go get a bitch!" I say as we headed back to the doors. Once we arrived there the doors were opened and Alice was pinned on the ground under one of the sentinels locked up from there flash, I saw some others ripping something apart in the other side of the room "Hey what do you lot have over there? Don't tell me you ripped apart one of the ones she strapped to the table?" I say walking over only to find some spider baby thing they had torn to shreds "Huh, okay? Must have been one of her creations" I say before I noticed some disassembly drones on the beds most torn to pieces "I almost feel bad" I say before one of the sentinels made some noise "Shh please...." I hear I walked over and found one of them was still alive but was missing one of there legs and an arm "Are you going to kill me?" He asked "Do you want me to?" I asked "Can you get me out?" He asked "Sure" I say undoing his straps "What's your name?" I asked "I'm Z, are any of them still alive?" He asked "I don't think so" I say. He close his eyes and started sobbing, I gave him a small hug "It's over Z your safe now" I say "My sisters" he says "Sisters... oh they were your family" I say looking over at the dead drones, just then someone came to again "Ugh ma head" Alice whines "Oh good your awake, say what did you do with there cores?" I asked letting Z go "Oh as if I'd tell the likes of you!" She says "You know I only want you alive I don't overly care in how many pieces your in so I'd suggest being a good little oil bag and answer me before I decide to let them rip you limb from limb" I say kneeling down to look her in the eyes as one of the Sentinels clamped onto her arm "Okay okay, there over there in the box" she says pointing over to a glow reddish orange box "Good, take her hand" I say as the sentinel ripped it off making her scream. I walked over and opened the box and was hit with a small wave of heat "Hmm using an over to keep them in a state of numbness, sometimes your simple mind does amaze me Alice" I say grabbing one of them "Wha what are ya doing! If you free that it'll turn into a giant monster thing!" She says panicking "Only if there isn't enough of the body left to put back together, give these ones are only missing one or two limp and there core which I currently have in hand they'll just repair there current body" I say opening the jar and grabbing the core "Your madder then me!" She says watching me set the core back in the body strapped to the table I watched as it linked itself back to the body and soon it booted up again, when she woke up she screamed and thrashed around "Woah easy, your okay" I say placing my hand on her shoulder "Get away from me!" She screamed out "T it's okay he's freeing us" Z says "Z? What? what happened?" T asked "You were dead, but he seems to know more about us and knew how to bring you back" Z says. T looked at me as I undid her straps "Can you bring K back as well?" T asked "Yeah, believe it or not it's rather simple. Put the core in a body that's mostly intact and boom back to life!" I say grabbing another core and opening it. I set it in the other body and after a few seconds she came to as well a lot more calm "Filthy little! Huh? You!" She says locking her eyes on me "Traitor!" She shouts "There still mad about that?" I asked "Mad about what?" Z asked "He abandoned his squad! Faked his death and joined the workers!" K shouts "And as it currently stands it's the best thing I've ever done for anyone! If it wasn't for me this planet would already be dead and gone! Solver is here and I'm containing it the best I can, if I didn't do what I did all those years ago everyone on this planet who have been dead long before now" I say "What is Solver!" K barked "What killed the humans, it's in all of you, it's in me those cores are Absolute Solver and it's in some workers and I'm making it safe for everyone. J would never listen to a word that was said, she left me no choice!" I say "And what proof do you have!" She barked "Let me show you" I say undoing her straps and helping her up "You guys get them to the exit and drag her there as well, I have plans for her" I say "Scraps your with me" I say motioning him over he happily jumped along as I helped K onto my back "You have very limited time to prove yourself" she says "And you are under the guard of a Sentinel who won't hesitate to rip you apart, and a father with two daughters he'll die for. Don't be stupid" I say "You have family?" She asked "Yeah a few months after I began my solo mission I found a workers baby left over from my old squad's massacre soon her mother came looking for her which is how I met my wife and the first daughter Uzi" I say carrying her down the hallway "Both of them have Solver but we locked Noris down, now I'm down here to deal with that worker that killed you and your sibling so I can save my daughters and stop Solver from taking over this planet as well" I explain as we arrive at a terminal I set her down in the chair and tapped into the terminal I pulled up a bunch of different pictures and the video of earth detonating "The company is dead..." she says "Yes, and this planet may be the only home we have left and these workers and each other is the only thing we have left. So best make yourself comfortable" I say "Get me to my family...." She says "So we're good?" I asked "It's not like I can do much missing my arms" she says "I think we can get those fixed, not like ol nut job that took them is going to use them" I say picking her up again "Where will we get them? Those... things ate them" she says "Well there just so happens to be a few dead disassembly drones at the doors to get in and out of here, but first to get rid of those extra cores" I say "But the dead drones can't we return them?" She asked "Unfortunately there destroyed beyond repair, if we were to try we'd only seal this planets fate" I say

We made our way back to Alice's lab and I set the cores ablaze in the over incinerating them "There now let gets you and your family back in one piece" I say, we arrived at the group with the sentinels waiting for us with them "So many dead..." Z says "Yeah, all thanks to her" I say looking at Alice "So why do you even want her alive?" K asked "Oil, they can produce it infinitely and keeping her alive will give me a better source of oil then taking it from the ones I live with" I say "Your keeping me alive to feed yourself!" Alice barks "Not just me there are two other who live in there as well, and you three are more then welcome to stay now that you know the truth K" I say "Truth? What truth?" Z asked "Earth is gone and the company is dead and so is humanity, no one is coming for us this is our only home now" K says Z and T were a bit distraught over the new information they were told but I distracted them by ripping an arm off the dead drone and walking over and attaching it to Z "There one arm down" I say as he used it some. I attached there limbs back on and got them up but T wasn't there and was still strapped to the table in her mind as she was terrified to have anyone near her curled into a ball "I think she's going to need some help" K says Z went to help her back she crawled backwards away from him "T?" He says "Maybe I can help, you carry Scraps" I say walking over to T who was horrified to say the least, I knelt down about five feet away from her and looked at her "Hey, I know your scared" I say inching a little closer "But your safe now it's over your getting out of here, no one's going to hurt you again" I say getting a little closer, I could hear her whine as I got closer and closer. Once I was right next to her she cowered away from me as I gently reached out and pulled her into a hug "Shhh your safe" I say picking her up "Thanks for the help guys, I'll bring you something next time I'm back" I say to the sentinels. They walked over making T try to sink into me to get away from them. They rubbed up against me one last time before running off back into the lab "Come on, K can you take her? And feel free to take her other hand one finger at a time on the trip" I say K smiled grabbing Alice and slicing one of her fingers off and giving it to me "Give it to her" she says I got T's attention and once she saw the finger dripping oil she took it and started drinking the oil out of it, she cut a number of fingers off and gave them to Z and even Scraps before she took one for herself we left the lab and started flying back to the colony.
