Anneliese-16
Beckett, Reid-17
Anneliese Reine Soleil-Rozzi
If there was ever one person that excluded confidence it was Beckett Taylor, the tall blonde walked towards Reid and I who were already waiting for him. Like always the blonde wore a button up shirt and a pair of neutral slacks, today he wore a white button up with a pair of dark brown slacks.
"Hey pretty boy." Reid greets our cousin, a stark contrast to the perfection that is beck. Reid is dressed casually in a pair of ripped jeans, that I'm pretty sure came without the holes when purchased with a hoodie thrown on. And even though Reid looked like he never cared for his appearance it was just the role he played.
Reid Taylor, the stereotypical bad boy that never cared for anyone or anything.
Beckett Taylor, the overconfident golden boy who thought he was the smartest person on the planet.
Those were both facades they hid behind, both were very intelligent even though Reid never showed it. And Beck gave off the impression he was a lot smarter than he actually was, he was extremely smart but there were people smarter than he was and he knew it.
And me, Anneliese Rozzi-Soleil. Youngest child and only daughter to billionaires, the successor to their companies even though I have three older brother's, one biological, my twin Alessandro and two my parents adopted when I was nine. Kenzo and Maximoff, both only a couple of months older than me. All three of them had dreams other than following in our parents footsteps, and even though I was given the same out they were I never wanted it, I had grown up running through the offices, watching and listening to everything happening. I wanted to rule, wanted to take over an empire my parents had been running since before they were teenagers.
Unlike my cousin's I never hid, I showed my true self but people were too self-absorbed to look past their own assumptions to what was right in front of them, so even though I showed my true self no one actually took the time to see who that was.
"Ready to go?" I ask the two boys, who each give me a single nod both taking their place on either side of me, Reid on the right and Beck on my left like it had been since we were little. We had no real destination in mind, this was just a catch up session since I was in New York.
Reid lived in New York with his parents, his dad used to play professional basketball for the New York Knicks and when he retired he was offered a full time position as the head coach of the team which he easily took the offer.
Beckett lived with his mother in Philadelphia but attended a boarding school in New York. His parents were divorced and he didn't see much of his father, Gabriel. He was often travelling around the world, doing something that gave him an adrenaline rush and seemed to only remember about his only off-spring when he was home. He tried to make an effort when he was back but Beckett never cared for his attempts and never reciprocated, after all he wouldn't be back for long, nothing could keep Gabriel Taylor rooted. Not even his son. And even though Gabriel did love his son I couldn't help but resent him for how he treated Beck as if he were a toy to play with and dump until its importance was remembered.
