Saw an article saying that the Ao3 site could take weeks to recover. I hope the staff are okay and can get their website fixed. People have been advised to not go onto the site or refresh open pages because it will take the site longer to be fixed (or something like that).
I found this really good FNF fic up there called Cyber Connection where Pico is an android reactivated after a century, lives with Girlfriend in a laboratory, becomes really close with GF and BF and learns how to be more human and form connections with other humans, and a ton of other major plots that I cannot say because I would spoil the whole story. I found it a week or two ago and it's one of the best FNF fanfics I have read!❤️
Now I'm sad because I can't read it due to the recent attack. Stupid DDoS attack😭
2. KOSA?
So I randomly saw Wattpad trending on Twitter and I clicked the tag thinking the site/app was down or something and....
That led me down this rabbit hole

It's another of those "protect the children" things unfortunately. I'm not sure how 100% true this is but from the posts I saw in the Twitter tag, passing this bill would mean that sites like Wattpad, Tumblr, Ao3, Twitter, and so on would be in danger because of being sued due to allowing NSFW or LGBTQ+ content.
Again, I'm not sure how accurate this is since I got it from Twitter, but please do sign petitions opposing this bill because not only will sites like Wattpad and such be in danger but it sounds like children won't have access to necessary resources that could benefit them with censorship on the internet.
Takeaways from this announcement: Don't go on Ao3 until the website has fully recovered from the DDoS attack, and do not support the kosa bill.
Anyways, that's pretty much all I wanted to say. I am a little freaked out so I'm gonna go rest up a bit, drink some water mayhaps.
