"Tsk, tsk, tsk... Nakalugay na, magulo ang buhok, maganda pa rin."
Kuya Marcia—our family's driver, stood beside me, shaking his head.
"Ay, bolero," I said as I playfully hit him with a fist before turning my back and walked towards the table where Mother Gracia are.
"Sila ang mga binatilyong kinukwento ng mga bata," ngiti niya sa akin habang nakatitig sa mga bata sa ilalim ng puno.
"I didn't know you were expecting someone except for us," ngiwi ko naman nang tumabi sa kaniya.
She looked at me and shook her head. "Hindi namin alam na bibisita sila. Palaging walang pasabi ang pagbisita nila, hija," sabi niya.
I flashed a smile. "Don't worry, it's okay. Mukhang kilala sila ni Mom," I replied while looking at Mom who was laughing with them.
"Magkakilalang magkakilala," she said while nodding.
My brows furrowed, looking at her and then rolled my eyes after I realized it. They're Mom's friend. Goodness this social butterfly... Businessmans, businesswomans, celebrities, not celebrities, rich or poor, young or old, she's friends with them.
The seven young boys look like a teenagers but older than me. They looked like at the age of 16 or 17 something.
"Okay, Mother Grace. Kausapin mo na sila, mag-aayos lang ako," I smiled at her before turning around.
I bit my tie as I was fixing my hair in a bun while walking but before I could even tie it properly, a child bumped into me.
"Kristoff?" I recognized him.
He smiled widely. "Sorry, Ate! Naglalaro po kami, e!"
I also smiled. "Pero hindi dapat kayo naglalaro rito sa hallway, madulas. Doon kayo sa field magtakbuhan," I said.
He nodded and showed something to me. "Opo! Tignan mo, Ate, binigyan ako ni Kuya Adam ng toy gun!" he told as he showed me a toy gun.
My vision also became blurry as I felt dizzy, a picture of a blooded head entered my mind.
I reached for my head as it started aching because of the dizziness I'm feeling, the ringing sound also doesn't fade away. Now, I couldn't see a thing. It was all blurry.
Gumagalaw din ang panga na parang may sinasabi pero wala akong marinig as if the ringing sound blocked my hearing.
Then again, the picture of a blooded head flashed on my mind and it didn't fade, making my head ache more.
I held my head, closing my eyes, hoping the picture of Dewei would fade away.
The blooded head... It was Dewei's... It was...her...
"VEEVA!!!"
I came back to my senses when I heard a loud voice saying my name. I looked at the person who was holding me, it was that Adam. The person I bumped into earlier. Wait... He looked familiar...
