"Okay, Vee! You're graduated now! What course will you take in?" Mom clung onto my arm.

We were walking from school. Our graduation just ended and oh, I'm at the top of the whole school.

I smiled. I hope I can.

"Film Art, Mom," I answered my Mom, smiling.

"Woah! Okay, an actress!" Mom grinned widely and clapped her hands twice.

I just laughed at it. I don't know why I'm getting the feeling that I will not take that course. But I want that.

When we get together on our dinner...

"What are your plans, Vee? You are now graduated," Dad asked while we're eating.

"She said she wants to be an actress. Right, Vee?" Mom said, happily.

I smiled and nodded. I turn my gaze to Dad who was busy eating. "Yes, Dad. I will take Film Art then a Bachelor's Degree, in Voice and Speech Improvement Course."

"No, you will take Criminal Justice Degree."

Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Mom at sabay na kunot-noong nilingon si Dad. "Why, Dad?" I asked, hesitantly.

He looked at me with his serious face. "I want you to be part of Secret Service, Vee. You will be a secret service agent."

Natigilan naman ako at napatitig kay Dad na nagpatuloy lang sa pagkain.

"B-but...why?" Mom asked Dad.

"She needs to be an agent because I want her to," Dad answered.

"You want her to become an agent, and so? She wants to be an actress, why are you stepping in her way to achieved her dreams?" Mom's voice raised.

Napayuko naman ako at napabuntong-hininga na lang. This is the first Mom shouted in anger at Dad.

And this is the feeling I am feeling since then.

"When you are an agent, you also need to act. Is there any difference?" Kunot-noong tanong ni Dad, kay Mom nakatingin.

"A lot! A lot, Epifanio! There is a lot of difference between them!" My Mom's voice raised again.

Napapikit ako habang pinananatili ang pagkakayuko ko.

"What is their difference, then?" My Dad questioned my Mom.

"When she become an actress, all she needs to do is to act in front of a camera but when she became an agent...her life will also be in danger," Mom explained, full of worries.

"That's why I will train her how to protect herself to every dangerous moment she may encounter."

"Epifanio---!"

"Stop, Mom," I stopped my Mom and turned to her.

I smiled at her. "It's okay, Mom. I also wanted to be an agent," I said, smiling.

"See? She wanted it, too," Dad smiled at me.

"Are you sure, Vee? You will have an intense training if---"

"Don't worry, Mom. I can handle myself," I winked at her that made her smile.

"Okay. I will always supports you for whatever you want to do," she said, smiling.

Pareho kaming napalingon kay Dad nang marinig namin itong tumikhim.

"We will start your training the day after tomorrow," Dad said, smiling.
