As she doesn't answer he stands up and comes to sit by her only to realize that she is crying, wrapping his hands around her he starts to console her, resting on him, her tears increase as she cries louder.
"Thank You" she says when she sits up and wipes her tears,
"You welcome, if you are not comfortable telling me what's up, its fine".
Looking at him she says "I will but not now please"
"Okay, Its fine I need to get back to work, I'll come back when the morning is better, okay?",
"Okay, Thank You once again" "Its fine, The thank you's are too much". He went to the door and looked back one at last time before he went out the door.
LATER THAT DAY......
(Knock knock knock)
"Who's there"
"It's me",
she goes to open the door and greets him with a warm smile,
in his head; he thought he was seeing a different person.
Joan looked much more beautiful than she looked hours ago,
"come in" she said.
Boma came in and sat down, and then she offered him a drink from the fridge "thank you" he said before he drank it.
After a while, Boma asked Joan "are you ready to tell me what happened now?",
she lifted up her head and looked at him, her eyes clouded with tears of bad memories,
then she said "I will tell you, but you have to be very patient with me, okay?"
Boma came closer to her and said "okay".
"I don't even know where to start." she said, Boma answered her and said "Start where ever you feel is best". She took a deep breath and began.
"I was 7 years old when my mum was pregnant for my younger brother, I overheard when she and my dad planned to give birth to him abroad,
as a child, I instantly became happy thinking that I was going to be carried along to overseas and I was going to spend the rest of my life there,
not long after, I heard my mum's voice saying that it was just going to be the two of them and that I was going to stay with my grandmother,
immediately, all my joy got washed down the drain. A week after, I was officially moved into my grandmother's house, if I must confess,
grandma's place was so interesting because all my mum's brothers always came visiting and when they came,
it was either they came with a gift for me or we went shopping. Grandma even became worried if they weren't going to spoil me but they reassured her that they wouldn't."
