Erik's POV
I finally pulled away, angrily looking at Christine. "HOW DARE YOU?!" I screamed at her. I had frightened her before, I could do it again."I love you, Erik. Can't you see that?" She asked, trying to sound innocent.
"If you loved me you wouldn't force yourself on me. I love Ryleigh, Christine. I'm sorry, but I don't love you" I said just as Ryleigh walked back in the room.
"Did I miss anything?" Ryleigh asked, eyeing the two of us suspiciously.
"I'll tell you what you missed. The reason that Christine here is going to be on her way permanently right now" I replied, staring at Christine furiously.
"I don't know what you're talking about" she replied, flattering her eyes innocently.
"Don't play that card with me! You know what you did! Get the hell out of here, NOW!" I screamed at her, my eyes probably looking insane as they did when I was extremely mad.
"Fine, Erik. I'll go. But I still love you, and you will be mine if it is the last thing I ever do!" Christine said as she stormed out of the room and I heard her splashing into the lake.
"What on Earth happened, Erik?" Ryleigh asked once Christine had left.
"When you left to go to the chamber room, I was worried because you had been acting a little weird. When I turned back around, I saw that Christine had moved extremely close to me. Then she claimed that she loved me and forced her lips onto mine, and started unbuttoning my shirt until I finally managed to pull her off of me. I just can't believe that she would do something like that" I told her, shaking my head.
"Why on Earth would she do that? She was so sweet the first day Katelyn and I, um...arrived, I guess you could say" Ryleigh said, sighing slightly.
"I have no idea. But I do have a huge temper, and I was her teacher, after all. Maybe she picked it up from me..." I trailed off, lost in thought. It probably was my fault! I mean, I have an extremely bad temper, it's not even funny. Ryleigh walked forward and put her hands on my shoulders in a comforting manner, making me face her.
"Erik, I do remember from the musical 'The Phantom of the Opera' that you had a temper. But I also remember that whenever you got mad, it was at least for a good reason. I know about the hardships in your life, you have a right to get angry. Some people are just nice all the time by nature, it comes naturally to them. Some people are ill-tempered, and that's fine, too. There's a quote from my favorite book series that goes like this: 'We've all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on; that's who we really are.' I love you, no matter what you do" Ryleigh said thoughtfully, smiling at me. God, I loved her smile.
"Thank you, Ryleigh. Whoever wrote those books definitely has a way with words. They almost seem magical" I said, causing her to giggle slightly. "What is it?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing, it's just that the books are about magic" she replied.
"Oh, okay" I said, staring at her lovingly. "I love you more than anything, do you know that?" I told her.
In response, Ryleigh wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned up until our lips met, sending a "magical" sensation throughout my body.
If you guys know what book series I'm talking about, you are bae! Comment and vote please, it would mean a lot!! Thanks!! 💕
