"Sometimes you might be in pain again, Sometimes you might get upset and shed tears, What about it If you live like that, what about it" - People – Agust D

"You did what?" Taehyung gasps.

"An alpha?" Jimin's voice cracks a bit as he tugs at Yoongi's cloak, trying to get the soaked wolf warm and comfortable. Yoongi had shifted a half mile from the den, walking the rest of the way in the rain in an attempt to rid himself of the alpha's scent before returning to his den. He'd succeeded, but he'd been shivering cold when he arrived.

"Yes," Yoongi confirms. "An alpha druid, to be precise. He apparently tends to these woods. Or used to."

Jimin bites his lip nervously, running fingers through Yoongi's hair to straighten out the damp locks. Yoongi leans into the touch, causing Jimin's concerned expression to shift into an adoring smile. The older omega has been particularly tender and affectionate with Yoongi the last two days. That isn't to say that Taehyung hasn't, just that the younger's advances were much more daring and intimate.

"Did he try anything?" Taehyung asks. A barely concealed growl accompanies the question.

"No," Yoongi assures him. "And even if he had, he was half dead by the time he would have been in a position to."

Jimin frowns again, settling on Yoongi's lap now that he's satisfied with the position of the cloak. He takes Yoongi's right hand in his own, threading their fingers, and rests his cheek on the pale wolf's chest. "I thought I felt a moment of panic, but it was gone so fast I just dismissed it," he says. "That was stupid. You could have been in real trouble."

"And if I had, I would have wanted you to stay here," Yoongi replies. "As I've told you both numerous times. Neither of you is ready to take on anything that would be a threat to me. It's better to have you safe."

Taehyung crawls across the den, sidling up next to Yoongi and Jimin, somehow making his larger frame small enough to tuck into Yoongi's side, taking Yoongi's free left hand into his own.

"Still, I don't like the idea of you alone with an alpha," Tae grumbles.

"I think he's alright," Yoongi ventures, explaining how it had been Namjoon that tried to help them during the omegas' heats. "His actions alone were innocent enough but add to it the fact that my wolf was completely relaxed around him? It's never done anything that would put me in danger. Hell, it led me to rescue you two. So, I honestly think he's safe. I don't think we need to move from here, either. Unless you two don't feel comfortable."

"If you think it's safe, we'll stay," Jimin says, rubbing small circles in the back of Yoongi's hand. Yoongi sighs in relief before dropping the next bomb.

"I'm going to go back tomorrow."

Both omegas tense.

"You're not serious," Taehyung whines.

"I am."

"Why?" Jimin asks, and he feels a thread of insecurity coming from the delicate wolf. Did Jimin think Yoongi wanted to get rid of them?

"Because he's hurt."

"You already fixed him," Taehyung protests, a flicker of defiance in his bond. "Why should you have to do anything else."

"Not that kind of hurt, Tae," Yoongi says softly, remembering the depth of sorrow in Namjoon's eyes. Pain of a kind Yoongi was all too familiar with.

Tae is quiet after that, but the omega's emotions are still in turmoil.

"What are you worried about?" Yoongi asks.

It's Jimin who answers, after a long silence. "Alpha's are really good at getting what they want. Not just by force. They can trick you. Make you feel safe and loved until you almost believe that they'll never hurt you. But it doesn't last. Once you're vulnerable, or in heat, they show their true nature. He's going to hurt you. Or take you away."
