3. do you love her lando

At around 2:23am you could hear shouting outside of the hospital room, luckily the morphine completely knocked Jaques out so he was able to remain asleep. There he was, bursting through the door, he looked worried and almost as if he had been crying. He immediately sat down next to you, wrapped his arms around you and kissed your head. "Oh mads I've been to every hospital in Monaco, I needed to see you and make sure you were okay", "you came char" he smiled "you called mon amour". Everything in you told you to fight him, how dare he show up here when a few hours ago he was sat with the woman he was clearly in love with but right now all you needed was his touch to know you were to know he wasn't going to leave. "Char does she know", it took him a minute to respond "about what mon amour", "about everything Charles", he shook his head, "why didn't you tell her", he took a second to respond " I couldn't tell her I'm still in love with my ex, that I think about her everyday, that I still have told her I'm in love with her because I can never love anyone else I made a promise to the most important people in my life". Something about his confession calmed you as if you haven't wasted the last 4 months constantly thinking about a man who didn't even care about you. By the time you and Charles had finishing discussing the accident it was nearly 3am and the nurse had been in to administer more morphine, where Charles had declared he was spending the night with you here, luckily he bought two pairs of clothes with him when he left so you both changed and found yourselves squished together on the tiny foldable bed they placed next to Jaques. The deja vu from all the time you spent in the hospital together whilst Jules was struggling.

He must've noticed you fall asleep because he pulled you closer to his chest, you stirred completely aware of your surrounding but refusing to allow him to detect the fact he had disturbed your sleep. "Madelinè I should've never left, I should've fought for us, I love you endlessly mon amour" he whispered into your head, you turned over nestled your head into his neck "oh char I was just learning how to be alright again, learning how to feel okay with myself again but I never felt complete without I, I've spent the last 4 months pretending you were just away for a race, I need you Charles but I need you to fight for me and not let me leave" he didn't respond he just pulled you closer smelling your hair and grinning, he always loved that your hair smelt like strawberries and coconut almost as much as he loved how well your hands fit in his or how soft your lips felt.

You woke up to Charles again, this time he was looking at you "char do you always watch me in my sleep" you asked trying to avoid eye contact with him "yea angel but your mums here now so you should go home and shower I can come with you if you want and we can come back later", that was when lando walked through the door "omg mads are you okay" he said hugging you, you almost forget between decoding to stay at the hospital and Charles' arrival you had sent a very sad voice message to lando. "I'm okay lan, you didn't have to coke you know" he smiled "oh mads I love you millions of course  id come I was already asleep last night when you sent me the message and Emma's at an acting gig all day but I'm here now okay". Lando had sent on the other side of you in the bed and his hand has found your face lifting your face up, he really was a great friend. Charles however didn't find this interaction amusing at all as he started collecting your things from around the room as his face grew more and more furious. "Lando you know she's not the one in hospital right it's her brother right, you haven't even met him" suddenly your mother and brothers came barging into the room. Seriously I don't know how many more people we can fit into this room. "Omg lando my love how have you been, you should come to family dinner on Monday I'm sure Phillipe will be so happy to see you" Charles became more frustrated, since the breakup the Norris twins had really been your only support and you had all became so close they joined you for the anniversary of Jules' passing on which you noticed how well lando got on with your parents.

You couldn't pretend you had never how've thoughts in which you and lando were more than friends I mean he's stunning but it never seemed like the right time and he was always busy with one of his many many sneaky links, which amazes you because he never ever sleeps with them just takes them out for a nice meal and a few drinks then dropped them off and spent the rest of the night talking to you. "Okay Christine I'm gonna take Madelinè home to freshen her up but I'm gonna leave my car here for when we come back later if you need it the keys are in Jaques' bag" he planted a kiss on the side of your mothers face and pulled you out of bed, "Charles is it okay if I come with you I didn't bring my car and I'd really like to make sure mads' heart remains in tact". You agreed in order to avoid the argument and kisses Jaques on the head as you headed home, the tension built as you allowed Charles to drive your car meaning lando found himself in the back seat,  20 minutes into the hour ride Charles' hand found how was to your thigh and lando clearly noticed and around two minutes after that he put his hands on either side of the  head rest joining them around your head and in the centre of your chest, you nestled
Your neck into his arms and interlocked your hand with Charles, all you needed right now was comfort and them fighting over tour attention was enough. When u reached your apartment you decided to shower straight away leaving the boys to talk.

They sat in silence for a while it wasn't until lando heard the shower running he finally spoke "she speaks about you all the time Charles", "She did?", lando sighed "what did she say", "she told me about how she lost her brother in 2015 after a race, and I asked her if she was ever scared to watch you race because of it, all she could think about was how much you loved racing and how she could keep you safe", "do you love her Lando", they hadn't noticed you had forgotten to take a towel with you so you remained in the bathroom doorway listening to there conversation "I love her enough to let her go of it's what's best for her Charles regardless of my own feelings",Charles shook his head "I'm so selfish, now I've got her back even if she asked me to leave I'd never go". The conversation then quickly turned back into racing and you disappeared to shower, you had a lot to think about.
