I woke up at 6am as my alarm instructed, and had my usual shower and morning of Sim Racing. I recently got a new €10,000 rig, and I planned to use it every day to improve my racing. This morning I raced with Danny Ricciardo in Melbourne, and went from P10 to the third step on the podium.
It felt like forever until 9:30am, which is when I would hop into my Porsche and drive to Prema, to have ice cream with a filipino girl I have never met. But eventually, the time arrived, and I messaged Nico to tell him I am on my way. ——————————————————————————— Race Engineer Nico 🏁 Ollie: Hey Nico, omw to Prema now. Nico: ok Ollie, and remember, don't make any moves on her. You are not allowed to date her. Ollie: Whaaaaattt, I would never! Nico: I mean it, Bearman. It would cause a lot more troubles for the team in the long term.
I left it at that. I knew that I wouldn't fall for her. I know this is a simple teammate relationship, and I am sure I will only see her for a season, as my aspiration is to go up to F1 in 2024, like Fred did.
——————————————————————————— I turned up to Prema HQ and saw her standing outside. She was beautiful, her hazel eyes complimented her skin tone beautifully, and she was in a low key shirt and some white shorts. "W-wow. You look amazing.." "Its great to meet you, Ollie. I am sure we will be great teammates in the future." Shit. Thats what I should have started with. I mentally slapped my self, and tried to focus. "So you wanted ice cream? I know a place nearby." We drove to the local ice cream parlour and sat down. "Could you take a quick pic of me Ollie?" "Only if you take one for me." "I can accept those terms.." We sat and chatted for around an hour and a half before we both had to get back to the simulators, and I got to know about her humble life in the Philippines, and about her family.
