It was race day in Saudi Arabia and I am starting in 7th. Luckily the sprint race provides some assistance with gaining some places, so that I can start higher on the feature day and bring home some real points. I am currently first in the drivers Championship, closely followed by Ollie.
"Right, Bianca. Focus your mind. And -oh Daniel."
"Daniel?"
I looked up out of my car to see the Aussie staring at me, grinning. I have never actually met Daniel in person, just seen him around the paddock and during races. The two Red Bull drivers of Dan and Seb were in a completely different circle than those of my drivers, Fernando and Charles, so they rarely cross.
"Hey Bianca, I just wanted to wish you and Ollie a great race. Normally I would see the Red Bull Academy drivers but you two have recently stolen my heart." He said with a wink and a grin.
Daniels words of encouragement sure did help me focus, and by the time I was wheeled out on track, I was ready.

All flash to green and I smash down the throttle. I had a much better start than two of the other drivers, and I swept into 5th before the first corner even hit. I went around the outside of turn 1, around Pourchaire, then used P2 to take the inside and gain a place.
"Incredible driving Bianca! Outstanding! P4!"
I remained in P4 for the remainder of the laps, until my engineer gave me a quick message.
"Ollie has ran wide, he lost the lead and has dropped to third. You may encounter him before the end of the race."
Oh no. I am sure he will be fuming about that after the race. Ollie hates when other drivers screw his race, but hates it even more when he screws himself over for the race.
"Tell him that I won't overtake. I will defend the positions we have, and if I get to him in the last 5 laps he can have the podium."
"Copy."
I reached Ollie on the final lap, and as I promised, I defended the best I could. We crossed the line with P4 and Ollie on the podium. A result that me and the team were more than pleased with. However someone wasn't.

Once we reached the Prema garage, Ollie took off his helmet and threw it on the sofa.
"FUCK!" was all he said. I came to him and pulled him into a hug. I could see the tears streaming down his face and I could only comfort him.
"Ollie.. It's ok.. You couldn't control it, and you still came third! It's a fresh start tomorrow."
He pulled away and I could see he was smiling through the tears.
"Bia. I honestly love you to bits." He said.
At this point the rest of the team walked in and he immediately backed off, embarrassed. I could feel a blush spreading over my face, and his was pretty obvious.
"Oliver Bearman. We need to talk." His PR Manager said. He walked off, wiping the tears from his face as he composed himself for the Podium celebration later.
Five minutes later he walked out, looking melancholy. I walked up to him and asked if he was ok and he walked straight past me, ignoring me. Had I done something?
