I didn't get away as well as I could have, losing a place to Jack Doohan and dropping down to 2nd. I desperately tried to gain some time to him, weaving round turns 5, 6 and 7 with ease. "Okay, P2 Bianca, P2. Ollie is in 4th, gaining on Pourchaire." Great start from both Premas. If Ollie overtakes Pourchaire, we could end up with a double podium and be in a great position for the race. Now all I have to do it catch Doohan. Lap 5 and I am only 0.402 seconds away from Jack, only a small straight of DRS could send me soaring past him, but he remained defensive. "Ollie has overtaken Pourchaire and is catching up to you. He has fastest lap."
Ollie is behind me! Premas on the podium! I brake late into turn 1, wheel to wheel with Doohan as I take the inside of the corner. He has to give way to avoid going off track and I gain the lead of the race! Doohan now has DRS on me and I am in trouble. I can sense he will dive into turn 4 to take the inside, so I brake early and he goes flying into the gravel. Ollie glides past him into 2nd, and a lap later he gets past me without much of a fight and finishes first Prema 1-2!! —————————————————————————— OllieBearman Prema 1-2!! Have to thank my amazing team and my teammate, Bianca. Hope for the same results tomorrow.
