Chapter 5: The Former Queen & Her Aide🔞

The only people left downstairs were Y/N, Kairel, and Queen Oriana as he turned his head towards them.

Y/N: Ready to head to our temporary living establishments?

Both Kairel and Queen Oriana nodded their heads as all three of them made their way upstairs. As soon as they reached the top, they saw many animals had chosen their rooms, with some making good choices while others making bad ones. Like the elephants choosing a room that was too small, or the hamsters choosing a room too big. They even saw a female doe exiting a male mule's room, causing Kairel and Queen Oriana to blush, wanting to know if interspecies mating was better than mating with their kind and if an interspecies relationship could be possible.

Kairel noticed that Xiro and Bruma had entered the center room that was at the end of the hallway.

KAIREL: Excuse me, but I have to speak to the "king and queen" about the future of the animals.

Y/N: Go right ahead. I show...

Y/N turned to the elderly lion

Y/N: I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch your name

ORIANA: Oriana. Just Oriana.

The elderly lioness decided that her time being called a queen was over since she knew that her king was already gone.

Y/N turns back to Kairel

Y/N: ...Oriana to our room. It's on the left at the end of the hallway. It's the only red door.

Nodding her head in understanding, Kairel made her way to Xiro and Bruma while Y/N led Oriana down the hall. When they reach the end of the hallway, a red door presents itself to them. Y/N opens it and offers Oriana to go in first.

ORIANA: Oh, my. Such a gentleman you are.

As soon as Oriana entered the room, she was amazed at how much room it had and how big the bed was, enough to fit five people. There was another door across the room (which was his bathroom), and a speaking tube on the side of the wall.

ORIANA: That's quite the bed you got there.

Y/N blushes at Oriana's statement about his sleeping hay bed.

Y/N: I turn a lot in my sleep and sometimes I roll out of bed. Make yourself right at home.

She made her way to the bed and sat on it. As soon as she got comfortable, she placed her hands on her face and began to cry, catching Y/N completely off guard.

Y/N: Oriana?! What's the matter?

Oriana moved her hands from her face and looked at Y/N with tears in her eyes.

ORIANA: Sorry you have to see me like this. Is just that I miss my husband so much.

Y/N sat down next to her and wiped the tears from her eyes.

Y/N: Maybe telling me about him might cheer you up.

Oriana for a small smile on her face as she started talking.

ORIANA: He was a great lion. A natural-born leader. Always thinking about others. He was very wise. He was always fair to others. And he was very patient when dealing with our son. Even though he asks me to guide Xiro to be a proper king, I know he will be during the trip to the ark, but I never thought I will board it, leaving my loved one behind.

Y/N: Maybe you haven't, but I think the king had.

Oriana looked at Y/N with a confused look on her face.
