Alex's POV (High school Au??)
All of us are gonna have a Christmas party hosted at Lafayette's house, and when I say all of us I mean me, Hercules, John, and of course Lafayette. I had Hercules drive me because I don't know how to drive (yet) and all of us are required to bring food, I brought nachos I found at Aldi for $1.99 and a bunch of knock off snacks from Aldi for really cheap. When Herc arrived he ran right in and began underage drinking (and he said he invited some other kids from our school)
"Is anyone else but the four of us gonna be here?" I asked
"Hmmm...Thomas Jefferson might be coming, the Schuyler sisters should come to, James Madison said he could come if he isn't sick and the chance he is sick is pretty high, and I invited Aaron." Lafayette said
About 30 minutes later.
Everyone arrived and most people are underage drinking while I'm trying to find Laurens, Laf's parents have a pool so Laf's filling it up (who goes swimming in December?) I was sitting on his deck drinking some Sprite and I finally saw Laurens. I walked over to him but before I could even talk to him a very drunk Peggy just started making out with him out of nowhere. After a couple seconds I realized that they were under mistletoe and I walked away. I didn't wanna see John kissing someone other than me. I normally don't like underage drinking but I just needed to get away from current situations, I got some Sam Adams and just started chugging and Herc got a little concerned.
"What are you doing?" He asked
"Getting away from reality." I said already drunk
"How many have you had?"
"Only one." I slurred
"Lies." He said
"Alright I'm gonna get Laf. We need to sober you up."
"But I really did only have one!"
He didn't believe me.
"Yo Laf! Lover boy is drunk and sad that Peggy kissed John."
Laf was talking with Jefferson and I was still with Hercules.
"Wait...Hamilton is into Laurens?!" Jefferson said/asked
"Stay out of this Jefferson!" I slurred
"Alex stop yelling at Jefferson, Jefferson stay out of this." Hercules said
"Okay it's obvious we need to sober you up mon ami." Lafayette said
"But I only had one can of Samuel Adams...it was John's favorite drink but now he belongs to Peggy." I was obviously drunk (from one Sam Adams)
"Yo I got an idea to sober Hamilton up. How about we push him in the pool?" Jefferson said (yes he's still here)
"Hmmm...not that bad of an idea." Lafayette said
"NO IM NOT DOING THAT. There has to be something else we can do."
"Please Alex. It'll make us happy and make you sober." Herc said
"Fineeee. But y'all better have a towel or something when I'm done."
They dragged me to the pool and a bunch of people were cheering while doing so. I was looking around and John was watching me have fun but I pushed him away and jumped in the freezing cold water. A bunch of kids started cheering and I almost froze in the water. I spent hours trying to dry off, Lafayette lit a fire so I could dry of quicker and not get frostbite. I ended up spending the rest of the party around the fireplace.
John's POV
I've had mistletoe in my pocket so I could find Alex, hold it over us, and finally kiss him. But I feel like I missed my chance when I was under mistletoe and Peggy saw that so she decided to kiss me. After Alex jumped in the pool I think he left and now I just feel empty and helpless. Most of the guests left and it was just me, Lafayette, Hercules, and maybe Alex is still here.
"Hey Laf, is Alex still here?" I ask
"Maybe, if he is then he's at the fireplace."
"Mhm but where is the fireplace?"
"John you've been here before. The fireplace is in the living room. Now, go kiss lover boy before I....MEARD I LEFT COOKIES IN THE OVEN."
I just stood there stunned for a second.
"You heard him." Herc said
"Huh?"
"Go talk to Alex."
"Ok."
Alex's POV
I was STILL shivering from jumping in the pool but at least I was sober. I saw John walk over and sit down next to me.
"Hey." He said
"H-Hey." I managed to get out with my teeth chattering.
"I saw you jumping in the pool and having what looked like a lot of fun."
"Ye-yeah b-b-but the aft-aftermath is-isn't w-w-worth it." My teeth were chattering once more I think my lips were blue
Hercules's POV
I was watching John and Alex, nothing was really happening because both of them were really awkward but I had to trust the process. I knew something was gonna happen soon.
Alex's POV
I had a chill go down my spine which made my teeth chatter even more and I was so cold I was in pain and I think tears were actually forming in my eyes.
John's POV (sorry for so many POV switching)
I heard chattering more louder than usual so I turned around and looked at Alex obviously on the verge of tears. I knew I had to something but I didn't know what.
Lafayette's POV
Somehow I didn't burn the cookies and I was gonna walk over to offer John, Alex, and Herc some but when I saw Herc standing at the doorway I knew I had to stay and watch.
"Que se passe-t-il?"
"Laf you know I take Spanish instead of French."
"What's going on?" I ask
"Nothing so far but trust the process something will happen."
"Okay."
John's POV
"Stand up" I said to Alex.
"H-Huh?"
"Trust me, stand up."
"O-Okay"
He stood up, his body quivering and I wrap my arms around him.
Alex's POV
I stand up and John just randomly hugs me. I'm not shivering anymore.
Johns POV
I reach into my pocket, grab the mistletoe, put it over our heads, and kissed Alex. I finally feel complete.
Alex's POV
He kissed me. He really kissed me. After that I was far from cold. I had never felt happier and the kiss lasted for a minute. Neither of us wanted to pull away.
Lafayette's POV
I was watching everything. It was epic. After they pulled away me and Herc walked in.
"I got the cookies!"
