The Story Of Her

Chapter 1 (Sunset Valley)
It had all begun when she had moved to a new town, Sunset Valley, a couple years ago. It wasn't actually her decision to move, nor did she even want to move. Her mother thought it was going to be an amazing move, she had gotten a really good job offer, and of course she had to accept it.
Now when they got to Sunset Valley their wasn't actually that many houses for sale, and if they were for sale they were a little bit out of their price range. Her mother eventually found a 2 bedroom house with 1 and a half bathroom. The fact that she had to share her bedroom with her little brother made it even worse, but she didn't want to put a damper to her mother's parade. She was too happy.
The room she was sharing with her brother, Lance, was simple. It had light blue wall paper with two single beds in it, one at the very end of the room, and the other up against the windows. The night stand was put in the corner so both beds were reachable. To her dismay she noticed that their was no dresser.
'Where am I going to put my clothes?' She thought to herself.
She didn't have much clothes, but she didn't mind living out of her suitcase for a while. Her brother didn't even blink an eye when she told him about them not having a dresser. Guys, aye? He mostly loved the fact that he now had a 'Big Boy Bed', considering he always had to sleep on the couch at their old house.
The rest of the house was quite nice, too. It had a few windows here and there, but what freaked her out was that the walls were basically covered in windows in the living room. No privacy.
Later that day the door bell rung. Which was surprisingly the first time she saw her mother get up since getting here to answer the door. It was their neighbors on the left of them. They had introduced themselves as, Bruce, Bruce Jr., and Sherri Spooner. Then her mother began to introduce everyone,
"I'm Laura, my daughter, Courtney, and my son Lance." She spoke proudly.
Bruce smiled, showing his teeth, and started asking her mother some basic questions, how are you, where did you come from, how'd you find Sunset Valley, etc,. Courtney on the other hand didn't want any of this social fest, so she made her way back towards her bedroom to finish reading her book, Smitten, and it was really good so far. She just opened the book to where she had stopped when their was a knock on the door.
"Hey, It's me, Bruce, er, Jr., can I come in?" He asked shifting his weight between his two feet.
"Erm, yeah, come in." Courtney replied, almost regretting it as soon as he opened the door. She wasn't really a people person and actually sucked at starting a conversation with someone for the first time.
He smiled at her, which to her appeared to be a smirk, and she wasn't to keen about it. She raised her right eyebrow in return.
"You're wearing Cookie Monster Pj's; that's cute." He said continued smirking.
She then stared at him as if he was a alien. She didn't have time to comment before he started talking again.
"I'm going to call you Cookie."
"Then I'm going to call you..." She thought about it for a second not knowing what to call him, so she thought of the first thing that came to her mind. "McDonald."
"No, that's terrible." He stated.
"Not my problem." She replied sighing softly.
Not knowing how to keep the conversation going she got up and went to the kitchen only to stop suddenly. In front of her was Sherri and Lance playing tag. Which, for her, was an odd sight to see. She shrugged it off and made her way to the kitchen to make a sandwich.
McDonald wasn't bad looking at all. He had dark brown hair that went past his ears, but barely go past his eyes. His eyes were a darker brown than his hair, and he was wearing baggy black jeans that matched his black hoodie. His lips were thin and wasn't as full as they should be, well according to Courtney that is.
She walked outside with her peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It was a very gorgous day outside. The sun was shinning brightly in the clear sky. The trees were all a bright green, and the grass, too, with only a few spots of brown. She sat down when she heard a whine. She looked around trying to see where it was coming from when her eyes landed on a small animal.
"A puppy." She smiled. "You know, Bobby Joe, that's your name by the way, I'm going to keep you, and try to make you the happiest little puppy ever."
She brought him inside after giving him her last bite of her sandwich. Bobby was black with brown starting on his ears going down his face with white under his nose and mouth. A black line was going down the center. His front and hind legs had brown on them but stopped half way where the white was going down to his paws.
