Brother, wait up!” The young Zonai in a blue scarf ran quickly up a hill following behind her two siblings.
“Naru, you're too slow! You’ll hold us back!” the eldest brother calls back with a laugh as he turns away to follow the second born into a cave. “Go home Naru!” his red scarf blew as he turned.
“Faru! Tell Daru I'm not slow and I can go too!?” she yells as she approaches the top of the hill. “Guys! Wait for me!?” she huffs in annoyance and then runs after them into the cave.
Daru wields a light katana like blade. His brother had a spear with a long shaft. Naru was younger by two years and still only had a basic wooden bow. Once she proved she could use it effectively she would be given a real bow, but until then she would have to wait.
She skids to a halt inside an opening in the cave that leads three different directions. “Which way did they go?” she peers down one of the tunnels and she couldn’t hear any sounds coming from inside. Her ears flapped slightly when she heard something move across the ground. “There you guys are!” She rushed down the cave towards the sound, but when she got there nothing appeared to be there. “Brother?” she called quietly into the cave.
A noise alerted her to turn and that when she saw the Horroblin on the ceiling. “Ehhh!?” she stumbled back drawing her bow, but she slipped on the wet floor and fell on her rear. She managed to evade the monster swinging a long stick at her as she fired an arrow into its face.
It fell onto the ground for a moment before picking itself back up and grabbing ahold of the stick it had dropped.
Naru reached for another arrow but realized when she had fallen she had dropped them and they had rolled down into a dip which was now behind the beast. “I’m in trouble.” she mumbles with her ears back. “What do I do!?”
The beast was prime to attack but suddenly acted as if it had been struck by electricity. As it shook from the jolt a burst of fire surrounded it lighting it on fire. Then the two brothers appeared wielding their weapons as they stood in front of their sister. They then both launched forward putting an end to the beast once and for all.
Daru and Faru turn towards their sister as the beast disappears. “Naru, I told you to stay home. It’s too dangerous here.”
“You don’t get to have all the fun without me!?” she says back to him.
Faru picks up her arrow bundle and hands it back to her. “Well she’s here already. Let's just let her come with us.”
Daru nods slightly. “Alright. Only because you're already here.” he says looking down the tunnel toward the back of the cave. “That flower has to be around here somewhere.”
Naru nods slightly. "You're looking for a flower?"
"Not just any flower. It was like the sun." Faru says with a slight smirk. "I mean to give it to our mother as a gift. You know how she adores flowers." He turns and looks around the cave. "I can't remember where I saw it though."
Naru chuckles. "Well another set of eyes would help then. What does it look like?"
Faru nods slightly, placing his hand on his chin. "It was yellow and brown and had a slight glow about it. As if reflecting or emitting the sun's glow."
The three search the cave for a while. They fight a few monsters together and ultimately end up unable to find the flower. As they were leaving they found a similar flower that had been trampled by a bokoblin.
Faru picks up the trampled flower and frowns. "Well, it seems like we were too late."
Naru looks at the flower. "Bummer. Maybe there is more?"
