Chapter Four

Maya's Pov
"Are there any dead bodies up there?" If Neteyam knew that I was out adventuring in the old battlefield he would have a fit of the world.

We just had a talked about responsibility and being reckless, yet here I was looking at the nature and ruins in awe. I could sense exploring the different trees and areas.

"So Maya bro, when are you going to ask out my bro? Seeing you two flirt is getting disgusting." I let such a dramatic exclaim out slightly, showing my fangs walking around the grass under the tree.

"I'm not asking him out are you insane? He's in line for Tourk Makto.. He already has his mate picked out maybe.. Why would he want me..?" I avoided eye contact with him for a moment, when Lo'ak dropped down from the tree to stand next to me with a grunt.

"I think you think too highly of him. I mean he is clumsy and you two already acted mated. Just you know go do what to avatars do. When they love each other very much they go to the forest alone." The loudest laugh could be heard from me slapping his hands away with laughter.

"Jake beat you to the mate/sex talk two years ago!" I said through my laughter quickly running away from him chasing me. I fell onto the grass in a fit of laughter, my tail moving fast like staring up in awe.

What could me and Neteyam be really even be? I fluttered my eyes the chatter going a little quiet for me to get lost.

The demon that's what Neytiri called him. He was back and in full force to attack whatever he could. All of us stood outside the main tent listening to Jake and Neytiri talking with one another.

"That whole kid he knows the operation.. I can't do much but I can protect this family let me do this." My ears flicked sadly looking to Neteyam who locked eyes with me in worry.

"And here you thought you'd be grounded for life.. Your moving." I whispered in disbelief. They were leaving all of them. Neteyam was quick to grab at my hand.

"Hey stop thinking ahead, you are coming to." His tone was so firm looking at me like that. Kiri waa still upset about Spider being captured. Why did we have to move away from every thing we knew? It wasn't fair.

"It's not fair it isn't right." I found myself muttering. I was the first to pull away from the pile. Neteyam had got up after slightly pushing Lo'ak's head away.

I could hear his footsteps following after me. His grip was tight for a moment before he was making me turn around to face him.

"I know you didn't just think we were going to leave you here Maya? You are family too you are so important if we are leaving we are coming too. I mean hell I just got you back a few years ago." I stared at him the night sky made his skin glow on a soft blue like hue. He took both my hands slightly playing with my fingers in the process.

"I can't do this without you." I smiled at him sweetly holding his hand in my own even more.

"You are such a goof and sappy. I'm right here Neteyam okay? I'm here." I was reassuring him the best way I could. He moved his form closer to me resting his temple on my own shutting his eyes.

"I see you." I whispered gently seeing the way he suddenly smiled lips twitching in a playful like manner. His arms sliding over my waist to keep me in place.

"I see you too." In that moment I just felt like I could melt being in his embrace listening to our hearts in unison beating. I found my hands sliding over to rub over his muscles through his arms in a motion.

"Guy's! I think they are about to do it." I was startled jolting back a little being steadied by Neteyam. He exclaimed looking over in embarrassment at Tuk quickly chasing after her screaming form to pick her up quickly tickling her all over fast like.

"You've been around Lo'ak too much! Shhh."
