Just What I Needed - The Cars
-------
This story is actually one of the only things keeping me going in life besides me giving my friend a bracelet. Yes I'm taking care of myself, writing is my escape, thank you sm:)
Also I wrote this July 14th on a trip to Chattanooga because I was visiting my brother and it's the furthest I've ever traveled.-------

It was Sunday, the day directly after the fair. Nightfall was approaching with a dark blue gradient filling the sky.
Sal opened the door to Phelps ministry, passing by the foyer and Into the main area of worship.
Blond hair popped up from the first pew. He made his way over to Travis, clutching an album beneath his arms that was The Cars, The Cars Album.
Sal was now standing infront of Travis and the blond had looked up, smiling almost dreamily. He was not in conscious thought of hearing Sal inter.
"Shall I play this?" Sal Asked in a playful tone, holding up the record album with both hands.
Travis had stood and pointed over to the corner of the church, "yeah, the record player is over there. I also bought the Tinderbox album."
"Awesome" Sal had said, then started questioning, "where do you find the money?"
The shorter one walked over to the record player while the latter explains, "on the bathroom floor."
Travis began to laugh at how weird it had sounded, but it was true; people dropped their money in weird places and he was always in the school bathrooms, whether it be the far one by gym or others throughout school, he was always weeping in one of them.
Sal had put on the record and 'Good Times Roll' started playing. He smiled underneath his prosthetic, eyes squinting at Travis with sparkle.
"Thank you for yesterday, it was fun" Travis admits, watching Sal slowly dance around and spin.
"It was nothing" he says, "dance with me, Trav!"
The blond reluctantly starts to try to dance, his gangly arms slinging around as if nobody were watching. Sal giggled and Travis started to do the same.
They danced the next few songs, which was 'My Best Friend's Girl', 'Just What I Needed' and 'I'm in touch with your world'. They had took a break, sitting on the old pew and breathing heavily as 'Don't Cha Stop' played clearly through the church over their loud breathing.
The church was dim, but it felt eerie in some way. There was an uncanny feeling lingering, it was as if Sal was back at the apartments in some way.
Walls of the ministry were a pasty off white color and the ground was dark colored carpet. The pews were wood, stained dark brown and there was a large cross hanging behind the podium.
