AUTHOR'S POV

2 days later...

Arnav stands in the kitchen, eyeing a pot of boiling water on the stove.

Aradhya enters the kitchen, holding a packet of instant noodles.

"Guess what, sir? Dinner will be ready in 5 mins!" She grinned.

Arnav looks at the packet of instant noodles and lets out a sigh, his frustration evident.

"Again Maggie? When you told me you are just depressed, you lied right? You actually don't know how to cook" he said shaking his head and turning her around to open her apron.

She lifted her hands in the air like a kid when he removed the apron and wore it himself.

"You only made the rules. And see you are breaking it yourself" she teased hitting his biceps playfully.

He glares at her and she moves away showing all her teeth.

Aradhya is an intelligent student and Arnav knows this just after working with her for 2 days.

Bas dimag thoda zyada khati hai...

(She just eats my brain a little more)

Aradhya hops up onto the kitchen counter, swinging her legs playfully.

"But sir, Maggie is our savior! It's quick, easy, and delicious!" she said opening a cheese packet and gulping a slice down her system.

Arnav rolls his eyes, but a small smile tugs at the corner of his lips.

"I suppose it's better than starving. But one of these days, we need to have a real dinner, Aradhya" He muttered.

Aradhya nods, feigning seriousness.

"Let me keep you company while you cook," she says placing a cheese slice near his mouth.

He looks at her then at her hand and slowly eats it.

Something weird happened when his lips touched her fingers and she instantly pulled back her fingers.

He coughed turning the other way to escape this embarrassing situation.

"Sir, are you sure you're not secretly a professional chef? You handle those pots and pans like a culinary maestro!" she gasped as he swiftly tossed the cheese omelet into the plate.

Arnav chuckles a hint of pride in his voice.

"Well, my talents do extend beyond the realm of physics, you know. Cooking is just another field where I excel" he winked.

"You wink too" Aradhya playfully gasps, putting a hand to her chest.

Arnav can't help but chuckle at Aradhya's playful antics.

He starts taking the plate to the dining table when she jumps from the counter and stops him.

He looks at her weirdly as she sprinkles some oregano and places a coriander leaf on it very delicately.

"Presentation is equally important" She dusts her hands with a proud smile.

He shook his head hitting the back of her head.

"Oww" she makes a face following him.

"Let's eat in the balcony?" he asks.

"Yes! And it's raining as well" she replies excitedly.

"I will bring the wine" he shakes his head and hands the plate to her.

...

Arnav and Aradhya sit on the cozy balcony, with their empty dinner plates in front of them. The soft glow of candlelight illuminates their faces as they enjoy the peaceful ambiance. The raindrops gently patter on the ground, creating a soothing melody.
