I am scared.Today was a great day.

I had my favorite subjects, I got a prize for being a good listener (yes, I enjoy an occasional prize), and it was a sunny day. But none of that matters now - it is raining now.

My sister, Tara, and me sit outside the office where my parents are being interviewed about a crime. We are in a police department where there are guys and girls with scary looks, and scary voices. Tara looks up at me, "I am tired Kayne, when will we get to go home?"

I have to bite my lip to stop me from crying and to stop my blurring eyes filled with tears."It might be a while," I say after I can see through my eyes. I pat my shoulder and Tara slumps on my shoulder. I strain myself to stop thinking about my parents, about how there is no way that they are being accused of something, about how they probably forgot pay a tax or something. How could they be accused of anything? They are the most honest and kind people ever. My parents are software people and have been building technology, writing code and have been teaching my sister and I the basics.

I look at the people talking at the front desk. "What am I supposed to do?" One of them says.

"Just take them..." The other one mumbles softly.

As put my arms around Tara, I close my eyes and slowly we fall asleep together.
