MEGAN POV

I'm not gonna cry. I'm not gonna cry. I refuse to.

As I get ready for this meeting with Tommy Hilfiger I look at myself in the mirror and try to encourage myself. I'm better than the life I came from, I'm nothing anyone said I will or am going to be.

I make it to their office and quickly take a deep breath till someone knocks on my passenger window. Looking it's Aaliyah waving with that perv behind her, Robert.

I get out hugging her as she says how excited she is. I look at Robert giving him a short wave because I don't like him, period.

"Welcome. Welcome. It's a pleasure to have you, Aaliyah, the princess of r and b here. And going to campaign our line. We thank you so much. We know you brought with you your creative director and we would love to see what you have"  the CEO says to us

I feel my palms get sweaty as everyone looks at me. I side eye Aaliyah as she smiles at me, being the little sister I wish I had.

Clearing my throat I begin....let's hope for the best.

I take the deepest breath I didn't know I was holding.
"MEGGIE!! You did it! You really did it!" Aaliyah says hugging me

I gave my idea of the campaign and they loved it. Letting Aaliyah talk over the video as she gives people a glimpse of who she is. Other than her voice and beauty. Get to see who Aaliyah is.

"I can't believe it. I thought they would've said it's so plain and basic"
"Hey! Nothing about you is plain or basic so stop it" she says pointing her finger at me as she pouts

"Okay"
"Good! Let's go celebrate now!" She says grabbing my hand running towards my car

As we all sit in this restaurant celebrating Robert walks away to go to the bathroom and I take that as my opportunity to have a serious talk with her.

"Liyah?"
"Yes Meg?"
"I. I just want to know. Is it true?"
"What?"
"Is. It. True?.... Are you and Robert together?"

She takes a breath and looks down giving me her answer.
"AALIYAH! You're nineteen and he's what thirty! Is he forcing you?" I whisper the end to her

"No! No he's not. I-I love him....okay. And yes at first he was my manager but now it's more...we love each other dearly" she says holding her hand to her heart

"I just don't want you to feel like you are stuck in that with him. If you want to get out, I can help you" I say reaching over grabbing her hand

She nods her head as a tear falls from her left eye that she quickly wipes away and right on cue he's back. We continue on as normal till someone and his crew enter the restaurant.

I instantly lock eyes with Pac and maintain it as he first walks to the table him and his crew are sat it. Then as he starts to head to our table.

"Hey Kelly....Aaliyah...Megan. It's good to see y'all"
"Hey" we all say back

"Guess who just closed on a major deal today? Them two. Aaliyah gonna be doing a commercial for Tommy Hilfiger and this one here is the brains behind the whole design and layout of it" Robert says

"Forreal? Wow. Well first congratulations ladies....hey this meal y'all just had is on me" Tupac says making us all decline

But he wasn't having none of it, found our server and covered our bill.
