The trial is coming faster than I was hoping it would. I look down at the city streets of LA. The place I love....tomorrow I have to testify and I'm scared. Scared of what people will say. How this case is gonna go. Facing my so called murderer/ friend. I just don't know how to feel.
I feel arms wrap around my waist, making me place my hands on top of hers.
"Pac; don't worry.. I got you. You're gonna be alright" Keisha says as she leans into my back
"I love you Kee"
"I love you more. Now let's go eat"
Sitting in our hotel room I just stare watching Keisha enjoy her burger as mines just sit there on my plate. I tell her I gotta call Ma and jump from the table before she could say anything else.
"Ma"
"Hey Pac. How are you?"
"I...I don't know Ma.. I'm honestly scared...Ma what if something happens while I'm on the stand. Everyone is after me so I'm a target. This target just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and I'm scared ma I'm-"
"Hey stop talking like that! You are still here on this earth breathing; I don't wanna hear nothing but death being on you. We've had that too many times and now is the time to start living. Not focusing on this. You need to start living son and this trial is just a trial, it will be over and it definitely won't dictate what happens to you. Hear me? We do not fear.."
"I hear you Ma...ugh that's literally what I needed to hear honestly...I wish you was here in LA with me"
"Well we wanted it to be a surprise but.... we are here. I know you didn't think I was gonna let you go through the trial by yourself...even though you got Keisha with you" she says with a slight attitude when she says Keisha's name, making me laugh
"Where y'all at? I want y'all to stay at this suite with us"
"No. No son we couldn't do that..plus someone hooked us up with our own suite"
"Oh really? And who might that be?"
"None of yo damn business!" I hear Set say in the background making me laugh
"Well fine then. But let's have dinner together. What do y'all want to eat?"
We all give our order waiting for the waiter to leave so we could talk, well hopefully. Keisha came along and that didn't make Set happy at all. And she makes it known...every minute.
"So how was y'all flight here?" I ask breaking the tension
"It was good... straight ride here"
"And why did y'all move back to New York? I can never get a straight answer with y'all" I say looking back and forth between Ma and Set
They both look at each other then Ma speaks, "A friend needed our help so we offered to help and it just seemed right to stay out there"
"Really?...and who is this friend.. cause it better not be who I think it is" I say feeling myself getting upset cause I bet it's Megan
"And if it is... so what. You don't dictate what we do" Set says
"When I left her, we all left her. I don't know why y'all cater to her ass. She the one that hurt me"
"Just cause y'all ended don't mean shit. She's still my sister in law...yes I said it you can marry this bitch all you want but know that she ain't shit to me" Set says pointing her finger at Keisha
