Walking into the common room, from the dorms, Willow walks over to the boys who are by the notice board "Hey boys." she smiles. "Hey Willow." they respond, doing their handshake. "Anything new or the board?" Willow asks. "We start flying lessons on Thursday, we've been out with the Gryffindors." Theo tells her. "Okay, you ready for breakfast?" she asks. "Yeah." the three of them respond. "Bet you that Hermione is worried about flying lessons." Draco says as they walk out the common room. "Definitely, she was talking about it the other day. It's the only lesson she's worried about." Blaise nods.
Soon enough Thursday rolls round and Willow plaits her hair as she hums to herself "How do you do that so easily?" Daphne asks. "My Aunt Rebekah taught me, she grew up doing her own hair so she taught me how to do it myself." Willow smiles. "It's so intricate and pretty." Pansy smiles. "Thanks, I can teach you both at some point if you want?" Willow suggests. "Yes please!" the two girls smile simultaneously. Willow nods and finishes her hair, putting the last hair pin in to make sure it stays in place. Smiling she heads downstairs to meet the boys "Loving the hair today Wills." Blaise compliments. "Thank you Blai." Willow smiles in response. "Come on, we better go and try to help Mione calm down before our first flying lesson this afternoon." Theo tells them. "That's a good idea, the more stressed she is the more likely she is to fall off." Draco nods, Blaise and Willow also nodding in agreement.
That afternoon, Willow, Hermione and the boys head down to flat lawn where they are having their flying lesson "What if I fall off?" Hermione mumbles. "You won't Mione, besides we're here with you." Willow tells her friend. Soon enough their teach, Madam Hooch arrives "Well, what are you all waiting for? Everyone stand by a broomstick. Come on, hurry up. Stick out your right hand over your broom and say 'Up!'" she tells everyone. Everyone stands by a broom and shouts "Up!" Willow's broom immediately flying into her hand. Madam Hooch walks up and down the row, showing everyone how to safely moun their brooms. The five friends share grins with Harry and Ron as Snyder is told he had been doing it wrong for years "Now, when I blow my whistle, you kick off from the ground, hard. Keep your brooms steady, rise a few feet, and then come straight back down by leaning forward slightly. On my whistle, three, two-" Madam Hooch starts, stopping when Neville goes shooting into the air "Come back, boy!" she shouts. "Oh no." Willow mumbles when she sees Neville begin to slip off the end of his broom. Neville falls with a loud thud and crack, Willow flinching at the noise "Broken wrist. Come on, boy. It's all right, up you get. None of you is to move while I take this boy to the hospital wing! You leave those brooms where they are or you'll be out of Hogwarts before you can say 'Quidditch'. Come on, dear." Madam Hooch warns, taking Neville back towards the school.
Snyder immediately bursts into laughter when they are out of earshot "Did you see his face, the great lump?" he asks Crabbe, Goyle, Millicent and Tracey joining in. "Shut up, Snyder." Parvati Patil snaps. "Ooh, sticking up for Longbottom? Never thought you'd like fat little crybabies, Parvati." Tracey tells her. "Look! It's that stupid thing Longbottom's gran sent him." Snyder smirks, picking up Neville's Rememberall. "Don't even think about it Snyder." Willow glares. "Give that here, Snyder." Harry adds, everyone quietening to see what happens. "I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find. How about up a tree?" Snyder smirks. "Give it here!" Willow shouts. Before she can reach him, Snyder jumps on his broom and takes flight "Come and get it, Mikaelson!" he smirks. Willow immediately grabs her broom and mouths it "Willow! You heard what Hooch said!" Hermione warns. Willow ignores her friend and takes flight easily, not seeing Harry join her "Give it here or I'll knock you off that broom!" Willow shouts at Snyder. "Oh, yeah?" Snyder sneers. Harry stops next to Willow "No Crabbe and Goyle up here to save your neck, Snyder." Harry calls over.
Snyder goes to fly off but Willow easily tackles him and grabs the Rememberall, turning Snyder goes to tackle her back "Harry!" Willow shouts, throwing the Rememberall in his direction. Harry dives to catch it, grabbing it a foot before it hits the ground. Willow smiles and flies over to him, landing next to him "Nice catch." she smiles. "Nice throw." Harry responds with a smile. "HARRY POTTER!" Professor McGonagall shouts. "WILLOW MIKAELSON!" Professor Snape adds, storming out with Professor McGonagall. "Never - in all my time at Hogwarts, how dare you - might have broken your neck-" McGonagall starts. "It wasn't their fault, Professors-" Daphne starts. "Be quiet, Miss Greengrass-" Professor Snape tells her. "But Snyder-" Ron starts. "That's enough, Mr. Weasley. Potter, follow me, now." Professor McGonagall tells Harry. "Miss Mikaelson." Professor Snape says, making her follow him. As they pass Snyder and his friends, Willow sees them all smirk in triumph. Willow follows her Godfather in silence, Professor Snape stopping outside the Charms Classroom "Professor Flitwick, might I borrow Mr Flint?" he asks. "Of course Professor Snape." Professor Flitwick responds.
A tall sixth year with dark hair walks out the classroom "Follow me." Professor Snape tells them, leading Willow and Flint down the corridor and into an empty classroom "Mr Flint, I've found a replacement Chaser. Willow, this is Marcus Flint. Flint, this is my Goddaugter Willow Mikaelson." he tells introduces. "Wh-What?" Willow asks. "Did you really think I'd expel my goddaughter for flying with perfect technique and throwing that Rememberall with amazing precision?" he asks her. Willow goes red "Was she really that good Professor?" Flint asks. "She must have thrown it sixty feet." Professor Snape tells him. "She'll need a broom of course, I can get her the training rota by the end of today. Flint says. "I already have a broom, my Dad got me the new Nimbus as a present for starting Hogwarts." Willow pipes up. "A Nimbus 2000?!" the fifth year asks. "I'll send a letter to your parents tonight, get them to send it." Professor Snape tells her. Willow grins, Marcus smiling at her "You're going to the youngest chaser in over a century!" Marcus tells her. "I expect you to practice Willow." Professor Snape tells her. "I will." Willow nods with a smile. "Good, both of you can leave. It's nearly the end of classes so just go to the common room, or whatever you do til dinner." Professor Snape tells them, walking out.
"Our practice evenings are Wednesdays and Fridays. We sometimes practice on Saturdays if we can book the pitch." Marcus tells Willow as they walk back to their common room. "Okay, knowing my family, someone will bring the broom to the schools tomorrow. Ever since Dad saw his first Quidditch game he's been a massive fan." Willow smiles. "You're a part of the Mikaelson family, right?" Marcus asks. "Yeah, Kol Mikaelson is my dad." Willow nods. "Must be cool, growing up with a family that close and talented." Marcus tells her. Willow smiles "It can get hectic but I love them all." she responds with a slight chuckle. "I bet." Marcus laughs as they reach their common room. They walk in and are immediately met by Draco, Theo and Blaise "What happened?" Blaise asks. Marcus chuckles "I'm guessing they're your best friends?" he asks. "Yeah." Willow smiles. "You can tell them, but don't tell anyone else. I want to see the look of shock on Wood's face when he sees you." Marcus tells her. "Okay, see you later Marcus." Willow smiles as the sixth year walks off. "Well?" Theo asks. "You're looking at Slytherin's newest Chaser." Willow whisper screams. "Yes!" the three boys grins, happy for their friend. "That must make you the youngest Chaser in what? A century?" Draco asks. "Over a Century." Willow corrects with a grin.
The next evening Willow heads to Severus' office, walking in to find the rest of the Quidditch Team already there "Professor?" she asks in confusion. "Your father is bringing your broom and wanted to meet the team." he explains. Willow nods and sits on Severus' desk "Really?" he asks. "What? It's comfy." she defends, Marcus chuckling. The flames in the fireplace suddenly turn green, Kol walking out of the flames with Klaus following "Daddy! Uncle Klaus!" Willow grins, hugging them both. "Hello Baby Witch, I brought your broomstick." Kol smiles, passing her broomstick which has been wrapped in brown paper. "Thank you." she smiles. "These gentlemen must be the rest of the team?" Klaus asks his niece, smiling at her happiness. "Yes this is Marcus Flint the team Captain a fellow Chaser. Adrian Pucey, who is also a Chaser. Lucian Bole and Peregrine Derrick, the Beaters. Miles Bletchley who is the Keeper and Terence Higgs the Seeker. Team, this is my Father, Kol, and Uncle, Klaus." Willow introduces. "Pleasure to meet you both." Marcus smiles, shaking Kol and Klaus' hands. The rest of the team copies their Captain "When is the first match of the season for you? The family wants to come and watch." Klaus asks. "Ninth of November." Willow responds, having already memorised the timetable and match dates. "we'll make sure the family can come." Kol smiles.
