chapter Twenty five the manatees

Peter and yonkter woke up happy to be back to their normal neverland routine they got dressed, ate breakfast and ran out of their bunk into the neverland air by now granolo had grown up to be a happy and healthy fun loving playful toddler and they were both very proud of their children.

So whare do you want to go today? Peter asked well I saw there was a new manatee swamp just built a few days ago and I thought that we could go to visit them yonkter said yeah we could go there if you want Peter said I would really enjoy that yonkter said I hope they'll have tails shaped like daggers Peter said well I hope they'll pig shaped snouts and flippers shaped like oars yonkter said.

Well we'll have to wait until we get there to find out what their like Peter said good point yonkter said fifteen minutes later they arrived at the swamp and in the swamp were thousands apon thousands of manatees with dagger shaped tails, pig like snouts and oar shaped flippers there's so many yonkter said.

Yeah there are i wasn't expecting this many Peter said they watched the manatees for a while until yonkter suddenly noticed one of the manatees was struggling for breath Peter look! Yonkter yelled pointing to the struggling manatee something's wrong Peter said but how are we going to help it? I don't know if me or even you can swim that far yonkter said.

I'll find a way to help that manatee even if I have no choice but to swim Peter said then both of them jumped into the swamp and swam as fast as they could to reach the manatee when they did it was clear that something was very wrong then as soon as yonkter put her hand on the manatee's side it calmed down and nuzzled it's head into yonkter's chest.

Don't worry we're here to help you there's nothing to be afraid of everything's going to be alright yonkter said comfortingly while yonkter comforted it Peter swam beneath the surface to asses what was wrong with the manatee and when he surfaced again yonkter could see by the look on Peter's face that it was clear that something was wrong.

It's tail is tightly wrapped in kelp Peter said will you be able to cut it free with your dagger? Yonkter asked well it can at least I hope it can it's extremely thick strands down there but I know I've got to try Peter said i know you can do this your the best at using a dagger yonkter said I know I have skills Peter said before he dove back down and began cutting each thick strand of kelp.

He cut the first then the second then the third then the fourth he continued doing this until the manatee was completely freed then Peter surfaced after ten long minutes it swam off with it's friends Peter said yonkter breathed a sigh of relief that's great she said then they both swam back to the bank I'm glad we were able to help yonkter said.

Yeah me too I like doing rescues like this weather it's an animal or lost kid Peter said before leaning into her for a long gentle kiss i love doing these rescues especially when I get gentle kisses and hugs from you yonkter said yeah there's nothing I love more than getting to give you hugs and kisses Peter said.

Yonkter smiled and hugged him I never want my life here to end yonkter said Peter gently hugs her and it won't like i said everything living here stays young forever Peter said I completely understand that yonkter said picking up a handful of dirt in her hand and throwing it at him Peter soon joined in and threw another handful of dirt in her face.

Then Peter watches a flower gently swaying in the wind want to play with the lost boys for awhile before we head back to our bunk? Peter asked yonkter smiled of course I do yonkter said with a laugh then they both raced to the hideout when they walked in the lost boys were wildly jumping on pillows and yonkter wanted to join them.

Go on Peter said yonkter smiled and ran to jump on a pillow and Peter went off to talk to Wendy for a while yonkter was happy jumping on the pillows laughing as if it was a game then cabrenia bumped into her causing her to fall onto the pillow but instead of getting annoyed yonkter laughed it off like it was a part of the game seeing that her mother wasn't mad cabrenia picked up a pillow and tossed it at her and yonkter caught it in midair then one of the lost boys bursted out laughing while yelling HEY NICE CATCH BLURTY BOB.

Yonkter bursted out laughing thinking it was extremely funny until Wendy stormed in and began yelling at all the lost boys to get to bed yonkter took cabrenia and granolo by the hand and raced out of the hideout with Peter following behind them they soon made it back to their bunk as the sun was beginning to set cabrenia and granolo grabbed sticks of cheese before running to their hammocks.

Peter and yonkter sat by her hammock with a large bowl of mac n cheese I'm glad we saved that manatee before it was too late yonkter said yeah me too it was nice to hang out with the lost boys too it seemed like Joroto's getting along and settling in just fine Peter said later when they finished their dinner Peter tucked in cabrenia and granolo while yonkter got changed and laid in her hammock.

Then soon Peter returned and kissed yonkter goodnight then he changed and went to bed and they soon were dreaming of tomorrow's adventures.
