Ninten and Ana sat on the train together, reminiscing about old times, and sharing experiences they had made in each other's absences. He was telling her about his new friend, Ness, and Ana mentioned to him about a brilliant young boy named Jeff and his ever-so-friendly companion, Tony.
It was nice to talk to her again, but as much as he tried, Ninten just couldn't feel anything for her.
"You're saying this Jeff kid.. looks like Lloyd? That's crazy! I wonder if he's friends with Ness, remember how I told you that Ness looks just like me?"
Ana giggled, "I remember! Oh, if there's another you, and another Lloyd, is there another me?"
Ninten nodded, "Yeah, sorta, her name's Paula.. she's Ness's girlfriend, or would be if he would just man up and ask her out! He says it's complicated or whatever." he rolled his eyes, leaning back into his seat.
She nudged him with her shoulder, "Reminds me of someone?"
"Ana..." Ninten began, giving her a look, before she cut him off.
"Oh, Ninten, you know I just tease. I've already accepted that you're just not the one for me. We'll always be great friends either way!"
The train slowly stopped, reaching its point and signaled for its passengers that it was at their destination: November. Ninten and Ana got off the train, looking around.
"Wow... Thanksgiving really did change a lot.. Lloyd must feel right at home here now." Ninten joked, looking around at the new addition of a whole entire beach. "Reminds me of Valentine. Wonder where Lloyd is?"
Immediately following, they heard a few explosions, fireworks maybe, off the far coast of the shore. Ana pointed towards the noise, "Maybe over there..?"
"Jee, Ana." Ninten rolled his eyes. The two of them took off in the direction of the noise and sure enough, their old friend Lloyd was firing off rockets with a crowd of younger children watching in amazement.
Voices shouted from the crowd around him, begging for colours of all sorts and different shapes to spiral out of the rockets Lloyd would set off, and to the best degree, he would oblige. He was no genius, and he wasn't very strong either, but Lloyd had a hidden skill in pyrotechnics.
"Make one in the shape of a Flying Man!" Ninten called, which caused Lloyd to immediately stop and turn around.
"Ninten, was that you? Ninten! And Ana too! You're both here, it's really you!" he ran up to them, leaving behind the fireworks to the hungry crowd of children. "After this crazy time-shift stuff, I thought I wouldn't get to see you guys again. Is Teddy okay?"
"We're just off to visit him, actually." Ana smiled, "He's in February."
"Wow..." Lloyd adjusted his glasses, "February has big rumors around it. I've heard they have firework displays every night, do you know if that's true? Well, let's go find out! If Teddy's alright, we can watch one with him."
Ninten gave them all a thumbs up, "Sounds like a good plan! We'll have to make it quick though, I promised my parents that I wouldn't be gone for longer than half a week."
"You and your promises to your mother." Lloyd rolled his eyes, "Let's hurry. Teddy will be overjoyed to see us."
"Should you have left those fireworks, Lloyd?" pointed out Ana, who also pointed to the group of children trying to set them all off at once.
"Ehh... l-let's get out of here, hurry!" pushed Lloyed, urging all three of them to get out of the vicinity before the only colours displayed in the sky would be red, blue, and pink.
