The four boys had met up prior, with grinning faces and all ready to board the train. They were going to the town of October to go to the amusement park. They were all extremely excited, Ninten and Ness had saved up money for the trip, and Flint had given Lucas and Claus some allowance from doing chores on the farm.
Ness was a little bit sad and complained lots on the way to the train. Paula was unable to come with them today, she had gotten sick from one of the kids from the preschool, but she promised to join them during Ninten's birthday party.
Ninten looked over at Claus, who was sitting a few seats from him in the train, count his money. He was excited, especially that he would be going too.
Ness nudged him, giving a devious look that Ninten knew exactly what for. He gave him a scowl in return and moved his hand up to his mouth to signal a 'zip-it!' motion. Ness silently laughed back.
"I'm sure we both have enough for money and to play games, Lucas." Claus looked up, putting the cash into one of his pockets, "But if you're so scared, I can lend you some again."
Lucas frowned, "But, what if it's all expensive? I don't want to use all of dad's money... I'd feel bad!"
Claus laughed, "We deserve it, don't we?"
Ninten leaned over, "Third Park isn't too expensive, Ness says it was originally a circus, but because of the time-shift, we were able to become a super cool amusement park! He also said the prices are cheap, so don't worry."
"Cheap enough!" Ness sighed, "I had to do lots of work for my mom!"
"Doesn't your dad deposit money?" Ninten snickered, "Used your ATM balance already?"
Ness rolled his eyes, "Yeah, spending time and going to places with you !"
"Aaaaaand Paula. You know, your lovey dovey girlfriend ?"Ninten clutched his hands together, batting his eyes.
Ness groaned, "Yuck, don't do that ever again, dude. Plus, you're one to talk. You know, being all lovey dovey and all."
"Hey!"
"What's going on?" Claus leaned over to look at them, "You guys bicker so loudly, it's hard not to hear."
Ness tapped his head a bit, thinking, "Ninten has a crush."
"No, I don't!"
"You have a crush, Ninten?" Claus tilted his head, "On who? Ana?"
Ninten waved his hands around, "I don't have a crush!"
Lucas looked over now too, "You like someone? Wow! I guess we're all growing up, even you, Ninten."
He groaned loudly and sat back into the train seat, "I'm not a kid, guys."
The other three boys laughed together and sat back into their seats too, "Okay," began Ness, "This will be fun. You guys want to split up or something?"
"What? No way!" grumbled Ninten, "You guys are supposed to hang out with the birthday boy, aren't you? Come on!"
"Even if you did, I think I would hang out with Lucas. Sorry Ness, sorry Ninten." Claus gave them an awkward smile, "This is the first time either of us have been to an actual amusement park anyways."
Ninten frowned a little, "It's okay, I'll show you guys around anyways. Then we can go on rides, eat gross foods, ride the ferris wheel..." he went on an excited ramble, while Ness rolled his eyes and the twins glanced at each other in bewildered excitement.
It took the train a few minutes to land in October, and all four of them tumbled out of the train excitedly. The line into the park was sort of long, but they passed the time sharing stories of stuff they did during the past week.
