The airship soars through the skies, heading to Beacon Academy. Qrow chuckles as his sister leans on a railing and looks down at the houses in the city below. He walks over, leaning on the same railing next to her.
"You really don't have to look so unapproachable. Some of these people aren't so bad."
Raven rolls her eyes at her brother's comment, but turns to face him. "And who have you socialized with?"
Qrow points to a girl in a black combat skirt and a white cloak. She has dark hair that's cut short with some dark red in it. The girl is walking, and trips on her own feet. A blond guy walks over and helps her up, and soon enough the pair are laughing and chatting. "See? Not so hard."
Raven rolls her eyes. "She looks like a real 'promising' huntsman. If she trips while casually walking, I'd hate to see her in combat." Raven turns her attention back to the large window of the airship.
Qrow drops his voice to a whisper. "If you really want to get through this, you're going to have to play the part. You don't have to be friendly, but your bitchy attitude can stop. I know you aren't exactly happy about this, sis, but if you think I'm any happier about it, you're dead wrong. It isn't easy for either of us, but you could at least stand to make it bearable."
Raven sighs, knowing her brother was right. "I'll try. Okay?"
Qrow nods. "Thank you."

A cat faunus grips the railing tightly, a good ten feet away from Raven and Qrow. A girl with white hair walks up beside her. "Not a fan of heights?"
The cat faunus shakes her head. "They make me nervous."
The other girl smiles in a bit of sympathy for the cat faunus. "Well then let me distract you." She gently rests a hand on one of the cat faunus'. "What's your name?"
The cat faunus smiles a bit, looking up at the girl with white hair and away from the window, as her grip on the railing seems to loosen a bit. "Kali. What's yours?"
The girl with white hair's smile grows ever so slightly. "I'm Willow."

Meanwhile, in his office, Ozpin sits at his desk, looking through the files of the new students this year. He's looking through them, until a soft voice interrupts.
"Is there anyone who stands out this year, Headmaster Ozpin?"
Ozpin looks up, smiling at his head professor. "A few. We have a good group this year, Ms. Goodwitch."
Glynda shakes her head softly. "Please, just call me Glynda. I believe we've been over this."
Ozpin nods, before taking a sip of his coffee. "My apologies. I'm still adjusting."
Glynda nods. "Don't worry. You'll get there." Glynda pauses, looking out at the airship as the children begin to unload off of it. "What are you doing for orientation this year?"
He takes a moment to think, taking a sip of his coffee again.
"Do we still have those launchpads?"
