Chapter 5

Qrow noticed a blond leaning against the wall, seeming hesitant to socialize with anybody. He walks over, putting on a smile. "Hey. I'm Qrow. What's your name?"

The blond seems a bit nervous, but smiles regardless. "Tai. I'm Taiyang Xiao Long."

Qrow nods. "It's nice to meet you Tai. Are you waiting on someone?"

Tai shakes his head. "I'm hesitant to meet new people. And go figure the only friend I've made is a girl."

Qrow smiles genuinely this time. "Well, now you've got two. So, what-"

Qrow is cut off my feminine voice as someone with long reddish brown hair walks over. "You guys seem interesting. The name's Copper."

Tai looks the new person up and down for a second. He speaks in a curious and nervous tone. "Copper are you- uh...what is-"

Copper smiles and cuts him off. "I'm non binary. Yes I have the body of a female. Yes it is complicated, and no, you aren't the first person to ask. My pronouns are she/he/they, so you're good to call me feminine pronouns."

Qrow smiles. "Well, Copper, thank you, and that answers every question I had. I'm Qrow."

Tai nods his head. "My name is Tai."

Copper nods. "It's nice to meet you both. You guys up for a game of cards?"

At the end of Copper's sentence, she holds up a deck of playing cards.

Raven shakes her head, glaring at Summer. "What is your deal with getting in everyone's business?!"

Summer turns her whole body to face Raven now. "What is your deal and being aggressive and rude to everyone you meet?"

Raven rolls her eyes, ready to say something before the white haired girl cuts her off. "How about we all just go to bed? It's nearing 11, and we all have initiation tomorrow, like it or not."

Kali and Maize nod in agreement, and Summer seems to relax as she nods as well. Raven rolls her eyes again before walking back off in the direction of her sleeping area.

Summer smiles at the other three girls. She turns her attention to the girl with white hair. "Thanks for that...I bumped into her this morning, and she was really rude about it."

The girl with white hair smiles and nods. "It's no problem. I'm Willow, by the way."

A cat faunus with orange hair waves at Summer, a soft smile on her face. "I'm Maize Katt!"

A second faunus, with ears that seemed similar to a wolf's, smiles shyly at Summer. "And I'm Kali."

Summer smiles at the three. "I'm Summer Rose. It's nice to meet you all."
