Brooklyn's POV 🦋:

"Maybe you should pick up Touya..?" I questioned him with a shrug. Someone kept calling his phone and all he did was, look—sigh—eye roll—ignore.

"It's not important, I promise." He shook his head at the thought of who was calling him, as he reassured me. This person obviously annoyed him.

"Uhh so-" Touya started before being interrupted by the ring of his phone.

look—sigh—eye roll—ignore

"Anyway, my-"

"Touya maybe you should get tha-"

"It's fi-"

Touya was practically fuming right now. He angrily picked up his phone and rolled his eyes. He put it to his ear as he waited for the person to speak, to explain why they were bothering him.  As he tapped his foot impatiently.

Sometimes this behavior confused me. I mean, it wasn't new. Him being annoyed with every human alive, and not me. Or maybe he was bothered by me... and just didn't tell me.

"Mhm." Touya replied to the person. I assumed they started speaking, although I couldn't hear because it wasn't on speaker.

"No. I don't want you here." Touya said a bit coldly at the unknown caller. "Huh-! No- okay fine." Touya pouted as he took the phone away from his ears and looked at me.

"Do you want the stupid bird to come over?" He asked me obviously irritated.

"sAy mY nAmE!" I heard someone yell through the phone.

And in an instant, I knew he was referring to

Keigo

as the stupid bird.

"Oh my goodness, why not? Of course he can come over, I haven't seen him in a while!" I said happily which clearly bothered Touya as he rolled his eyes.

"She said sure." Touya said annoyed at hawks, who I assumed asked if he could come over.

"Why did he ask me? I mean, this is your house Touya. I'm the guest here." I tilt my head looking at Touya.

"Cause he wants to come over to see you, so if you don't want him over then there's no point, right?"

"No Touya... can't be. He's your friend too." I say as if he's sad Keigo only wants to see me, but I know he's not. He couldn't care less. Let's just say him and Keigo don't really get along.

"He is not my friend." He said giving me a face like I needed help for even considering them friends. "Anyway, knowing him he'll be here in no time." Touya added.

"He was probably already here when he called me, damn creep."

"Touya he is not a cree-" I confront Touya before being interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Wanna say that again Butterfly?" Touya taunts as he gets up to open the door.

"Whatever, he was probably very excited." I add, trying to defend Keigo.

I don't know why but Touya and Keigo always seemed to argue. Especially when I'm around. I hear them arguing when they are alone in a room, but it's never that serious, and they always seem to be able to ignore the problem and just give each other the silent treatment.  Although, when I'm around they never stop fighting.

"Stupid." Touya greets Keigo when he opens the door. Keigo ignores him and walks right past him, letting himself in. I don't blame Keigo, I'd probably be too annoyed to bother with his name calling aswell.

"Brooklyn! How are you? It's been years butterfly!" Keigo smiles and stretches his arms out, inviting in for a hug.

"Hello Keigo! Uh— it's been, 3 days." I say not understanding his sarcasm, and giving into his hug.

"Don't call her that!" I hear Touya say angrily as Keigo and I embrace. Touya hates it when Keigo copies his nicknames for me, it's cute I guess.

We all sit down and try to gather ideas on what to do. As usual Touya is only talking to me and Keigo is only talking to me, some days they don't even glance at each other.

As the boys suggest activities to while giving each others annoyed looks, I hear foot steps come down the stairs. I turn to see Rei Todoroki, who stops to smile at me then goes upstairs.

If I'm honest, she looks beat up. Mentally and physically. Touya tells me all about the abuse that goes on in his house hold, so I try to give Rei a big smile. Maybe it'll help her.

After Natsuo barged into Touya's room and caught Touya and I on his bed, I thought his parents would be furious. They just ended up letting me stay over, and welcomed me into there home. Touya tells me it's because his parents want him to give up the hero dream and focus on friends and school. Although, I just take advantage of it, it means I don't have to climb in the window anymore.

Although, now that they know about me, I have to be careful Touyas day Enji doesn't find out who my parents are. Villains.

"Damn idiot, are you kidding me? Brooklyn hates sports!" Touya said clearly speaking to Keigo.

"Catch isn't a sport! And I'm sure Brooklyn wouldn't mind if we taught her how to catch and throw properly!" Keigo defended himself.

"It's okay Touya— he's right, I don't mi-" I tried to calm Touya down but for some reason he thought it was really important to tell Keigo what I don't and do like. To prove he knew me better I guess?

"She'd rather die than play catch!" Touya rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

"Fine! Why don't we ask her what she wants to do then?" Keigo stated obviously fed up with Touya.

"I know what she wants to do! Clearly I know her better then you do!" Touya slightly shouted at Keigo.

Not like it's new or anything.

"You wanna watch that new horror movie, right Butterfly?" Touya eyes soften when he looks at me. He knows that's exactly what I want to do, but I don't want to hurt Keigo's feelings.

"I mean, I actually don't mind. I can do what you guys want. It's not always all up to me, right?" I question innocently, not wanting them to argue anymore.

"See! She doesn't mind!" Keigo said sassily to Touya, who was practically smoking.  "Cmon butterfly!" Keigo said as he took my hand as we headed outside.

"How many times do I have to say to stop calling her that?!"

Is what Touya wanted to say. I knew that's what he was thinking as I let Keigo walk me outside. As much as I love Keigo, I really value Touyas opinion. More then anything in the world.

"Come." I mouthed to Touya before Keigo and I went outside. I took a closer look at Touya and realized he had tears in his eyes.

Just how important was it to him that he knew me better then Keigo?

Touya eventually came outside, but he only watched Keigo teach me how to throw and catch the ball. He managed to not cry and soak up the tears, but that didn't change the immense guilt I felt.

Touya must've felt like someone was better than him again, or that his feelings had been disregarded again.
